I couldn't agree more, the guitar playing, more particularly the left hand movement of the characters on the frets is really bad, that hand almost never moves! It's much worse than how GH II looked in my opinion.

I hate the random hammer hitting the stage in the background - its really distracting.

Aye, once I first looked at the characters hand movements, I almost thought it was a GH2 mod - they almost never move.
It looks really weird on Raining Blood - where any real guitarist would be frantically strumming like crazy - the character is making it look as simple as a flick of the hand produces 15 notes, rofl.

Minus Celsius reminds me of the good ol' GH games. Back when the game was fun and full of variety. Now it really just seems like a metalfest that takes itself a little too seriously. Needs more light-hearted punk and classic. I love metal but there's a point of repetition.

Agreed, I really hate the songs that are difficult just for the sake of being difficult (at least that is how they feel to me).

I'm happy to see some of these videos though, La Grange, Paint It Black, 3s & 7s, Black Magic Woman, Cherub Rock, are all songs I really wanted to see.

Also cool to see all the new outfits and stuff for the characters.

And where are the fun tracks to play? None of these look very amusing whatsoever.

I'm really reconsidering my purchase...

I feel like I'm going to have to play only on Hard because they try to take something small (Jordan, all of tier eight), and expand it from tier two all the way to the bottom of the bonus songs.

Yea a lot of the notecharts are poorly done, and they did take the "best" custom makers to help them out with note charts. Why can all of us tell that the notecharts just don't work well in some spots during certain songs and they can't? (Sometimes even an entire songs looks terrible)

For serious, what's with all of the three held notes? I mean it was cool the first time, like in the beginning and end of songs like Who Was In My Room Last Night, but songs like Paint It Black shouldn't have them. What's the deal with so many notes in Paint It Black anyway? The opening should only have one note for every one note heard. They try to make something simple into something intense. Here's what the difficulty option should have been:

EASY
MEDIUM
HARD
HARDCORE
EXPERT
**** YOU AND YOUR HIGH SCORE

The could have left Easy and Medium alone (God know what kind of tricks tey have in stock for n00b heros) had Hard like how it should be, made Hard Core a more advanced version of Hard (The Expert we all know), made Expert the type of crap they have now where they try to trick you right from the start, and **** YOU AND YOUR HIGH SCORE where achievements don't matter; it's just you trying to get something past a one note multiplier.

But no. They have Expert where most of the achievements are. And they want us to beat it with a controller? F that.

Yea, I agree. This is coming from a guy who considers himself pretty good (5* all expert), I think the difficulty curve is kinda nuts. I mean it's gonna be a lot of fun of course. But some things about the game just irk me. Like the trills. Wtf? Those are not possible. The trills in this game are so ridiculously hard it makes me cringe every time I see em. It's not about timing anymore, apparently :(

I can say right now the opening for Rock Band had a row of about four oranges followed by four more. Not one, followed by another, followed by another, followed by another, and then the row of four.

Yeah man, I'm fully aware that Neversoft hired a few custom makers from Scorehero. I've been following it since the beginning.

The point I'm trying to make is the feeling I got was different from the Harmonix tracks. I've always found customs were done in a way to make the 'hardcore' GH players more challenged, instead of making the chart fun. In this case, it's like they found ways to throw in obscure notes and as many 3 button chords as possible.

The feeling I got from playing the demo and watching the videos was very much like that. That's the point I was trying to make. Mind you not all the songs are like that, some of the earlier tier songs look fun.

These look the most fun of the majority of the charts. I just wish Sunshine and Barracuda were masters...Covers are decently done this time though. I just would love some Clapton vocals!

I love that the in game Bret Michaels only resembles the real Bret Michaels because they both wear cowboy hats. To be honest I prefer him to the default singer, he looks way better.

Ha ha ha. Good call. Still, it was so Godawful it made me steer clear of the game.

Eman, while "The Seeker" is a far cry from the best Who song out there ("Bell Boy" FTW!) it's still a pretty decent song overall. Why they chose it for GHIII? Beats the hell out of me, just goes to show that those behind the game don't know what's really best for that kind of game

That's right. None of the boss battles can be played single player without the boss battle system. I wonder if you can play it co-op with a friend using the boss songs? My guess is no however, I mean why do something right now?

You can't play without playing the bosses? That is so terrible. I just also read that there is no offline co-op quickplay. Why does Neversoft think these things are good ideas. Its common sense that people who beat the boss on these songs will want to play them all the way through and beat them. They should have let me make GH III

He had already beaten the song. That is also why there was no ending cutscene. Also note that he had Metalhead.
