Hey everybody,
We donated this signed Rock Band bundle -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200233975997
100% of the proceeds benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
We arranged this though Jessica Hancock (from Hancock Music Co) and her mother and know it is going to a good cause.
The winner may also get some sweet extra swag from me if they let me know they won and I can verify it with the Foundation.
What sort of swag? How about a tour of Harmonix and lunch with the community team if you find yourself in Boston?
Yeah. That good.

How about doing these kind of things with a PS3 bundle?

I'm sure quite a few of us would bid on just the tour if you guys ever wanted to offer a charity auction for one.

Sounds like they just did... only you also get a cool set of signed RockBand gear as a bonus!

Are you ready to have your mind blown? If you win this auction, and end up coming to Harmonix for a tour, I will trade you your Xbox 360 version for a signed PS3 version. Or Wii, or PS2. Whatever floats your metaphorical boat. I'm all about the inclusive.

Sir, it would make my year to come for a tour round Harmonix, if only I wasn't from the UK  Hope the auction does well though, it's for a really good cause.

You guys keep proving South Park wrong. First the Buffett, now an AIDS Benefit.

Wow. That's awesome. I'm a 360 player, but still. :)
Sadly, even if I bid I couldn't get the "meet HMX" part of the deal. I'd have to get myself up to Boston, after all. Already paying a pretty penny for 2 events in a row starting next week. Going to LA for a week for Anime Expo, then going to see Weird Al in concert a mere handful of days after I return.

How about next time you do a cheaper fund raiser, like a signed DLC pack. Then I could afford that...

Awesome idea and great charity fund raiser. If i had the cash to buy it right now, even without being able to make the trip to Boston, i'd do it in a heartbeat.
Here's to hoping there are more in store in the future :D
(I know who's starting a little side fund for Harmonix Fund Raisers ;))

Let's say I drop alot of money on this, is there anyway I could bring some past HMX items to get signed onto this tour? :O
Because a signed copy of Frequency would be worth the potention $500 :O

I'm extremely curious as to whether or not there will be opportunities to donate to a good cause AND win this sort of swag again in the future. As i stated, i'd definitely be interested at another time down the road.
If nobody from Harmonix can confirm or deny this i'd understand, but any info on a possibility would be appreciated :D

I have a feeling we'll continue doing more of this in the future. We've done it a few times in the past and it is pretty awesome.

A charity Freddie Mercury/Queen DLC pack would be great, especially if you guys want to stick with AIDS research charities.
Plus, we'd get Queen. :D

So let me get this right. Not only do we have to win the auction but also get ourselves to Boston? or do you (HMX) pay for the plane ticket(s)?

Trust me, guys, you want this.
I just recently got a tour of the place and it's hilariously great.

You pretty much have to get yourselves to Boston. I'm not setup yet to be able to get other people's plane tickets and lodgings. Maybe some time in the future that is a possibility.

A tour of Harmonix?
Why spend money(even though it is for a good cause) to see a bunch of nerds in a building when you can just go to a Sci-fi convention?:D

No no no, you're mistaken. It is a tour of Harmonix... not your house.

So does running up the total from ~$202 to over $700 like I just did rate a tour...?
Pretty please with Sugar Magnolia on top?

In honor of Elisabeth Glaser (deceased spouse of Paul Michael Glaser), you should throw in a Rock Band commemorative Huggy Bear outfit.

As someone that knows very well this disease, I commend you Harmonix (putting aside my very mixed feelings with Rock band 2 though :p) for doing these charitable auctions.
It's good to see that there are some people with feelings and heart in the world.

Yeah, that's pretty cool that you're going to get the tour instead of me.
Anyway, you just have to redeem your special tour coupon to get it. I'll be waiting in a beat-up old panel van down by the bayou. Climb on in to get your... coupon.
