It seems like the more I think about some of the old games, the more songs I think about wanting to have in Rock Band again. I figured I'd throw this out there, and see if anyone else has particular favorites that they think would be fun to have added into RB.

Mine:

More Than A Feeling (Boston) - after Foreplay/Long Time was added, I'm pretty confident about some Boston DLC down the road, and I hope this is part of it

Nothin' But A Good Time (Poison) - I don't even have GH 80s, but that new Xbox commercial that is on all the time has gotten this song stuck in my head, and it seems like it'd be nice to add some 80s glam rock

Heart Full of Black (Burning Brides) - It's a maybe on this one, because it surprisingly became one of my favorite songs to play on GH1, and the drums seem like they could be fun too

Maybe/hopefully/possibly by having already been licensed for past games, it'd be a little easier for HMX to secure new deals to add them to RB. Who knows.

I would love to have Iron Man in Rock Band. Something about the drums in that song that really get me going.

Frankenstein? With the full drum solo, this would be the most amazing song ever. Who cares if it lacks vocals . . .

I was thinking about making a thread like this in the setlist forums of all the songs from previous Guitar Hero's that would be great for Rock Band, but I guess this is good enough.

GH I

Cream - "Crossroads
Boston - "More Than a Feeling"
Jimi Hendrix - "Spanish Castle Magic"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Higher Ground"
Queens of the Stone Age - "No One Knows"
Queen - "Killer Queen"
David Bowie - "Ziggy Stardust"
Godzilla - "Blue Oyster Cult"

GH II
Nirvana - "Heart Shaped Box"
Police - "Message in a Bottle"
Wolf Mother - "Woman"
Pearl Jam - "Life Wasted"
Foo Fighters - "Monkey Wrench"
Rage Against The Machine - "Killing in the Name"
The Rolling Stones - "Can't You Hear Me Knocking"
Guns 'N Roses - "Sweet Child Of Mine"

There are a lot, I wouldn't mind seeing most of these songs or artists in the game or DLC.

i think every song in GHI, GHII, and GH80's should be available for DLC.

Most of the songs were good and I would buy them all.

John the Fisherman -- I wanna be a twangy hick funk rock vocalist, dammit. I love singing along to this one on my drive to work.

Laid To Rest -- Assuming the karaoke system is CAPABLE of doing a death grunt vocal track, this could be a lot of fun to growl along to. Thunderhorse (or better yet, a more varied Dethklok song) falls in the same category.

Last Child -- I dunno why, but the groove on this one's infectious. Might be a fun full band song.

You know, this is something I've been wondering. Will GH3 be able to access GH2's DLC songs? And next year, will RB2 be able to access RB1's? Seems silly to have to change DVDs when it's just A Song On Your Hard Drive, and it'd keep the cash flow going on old songs if they can be used in newer games. Only reason I can see not to do this is if they only negotiated the legal rights to play songs in one game and one game only.

I was wondering that too, but I'm hoping having a lot of DLC prevents a RB2. I know a sequel is inevitable, but I'd be a sad guy to see a new version coming out each year. I'd rather be tricked into paying for patches/updates than buying a whole new game, that way every song from here on out can be accessed at one time, instead of swapping discs.

More Then A Feeling..Boston rocks!
Sweet Child Of Mine
Bark At The Moon

Last Child...I very much agree it was infectious. Music wise better then the original.
Killing In The Name..speaking of infectious..
Thunder Kiss 69...Cheat On The Church..

So many great songs..I'd take 95% of them please.

I wholeheartedly agree. I would buy each and every GH1, GH2, Gh80s song if they came out as DLC!

Someone at Harmonix who enjoy's money, please suggest/get these tracks/packs added to the DLC! :D

No, Microsoft changed it's DLC policy a month or so back making it so you can't use your old DLC with new games. This might be possible on the PS3, but it won't be on the 360.

As for my picks, Push Push Lady Lightning, More Than a Feeling, and Ziggy Stardust.
