Are the drums/guitars going to be compatible with one another, or are they going to be like the GH2 controllers, ie. two different circuitries?
It would actually be pretty nice, if, say, a friend has a 360 and I have a PS2, to be able to drum one against the other! Basically, both controllers should be USB, right?
Thanks in advance! :)

And the long answer is no too. lol.
Sony and Micrsoft peripherals will never be compatible. I did hear something about UT III online play integrating 360 and PS3 owners when the game eventually gets to the 360, but it was still a massive longshot. These two companies won't play nice.

Yeah, something like that would prove that there's some kind of peace / niceness between two rival corporations. Which is impossible.

Yeah right! That'd be like Sonic appearing with Mario in a Nintendo game!
...oh wait...

Nice argument! It's true, I'd never thought it could actually happen, but now they're both in Smash Bros. and that Olympics game.

Yeah, but only because Sega got out of the hardware biz and became a 3rd party developer several years ago. If Mario and Sonic had teamed up during the SNES/Genesis days it would have REALLY been something.

Even if all the gaming companies joined together and made one mega console, we'd still have fanboys so it doesn't matter much.

This would be one of the worst possible things to happen to the videogame industry. Competition is the driving force behind innovation.
