I personally think that My Chemical Romance would be a good addition to the Rock Band set list, mostly because of the sheer amount of fans they have and therefore a huge amount more people who would be interested in buying the game.
And yes, there are a lot of these threads but i happen to know for a fact that the person who posted this thread has just joined and didn't know.

And yes, I am a My Chemical Romance fan myself and would definetly be more interested in Rock Band if it had at least one of their songs.
Also, just because you (this is not directed at anyone who has posted, i just know that this is coming) believe that My Chemical Romance are "s****y emo music" doesn't mean that you should force that opinion on everyone. Let the fans have a conversation about the band without being bashed for their musical taste, okay?

Well, there are a lot of people who don't like My Chem. And fine, they're completely entitled to their opinion about the band - but why discriminate against their fans? I just don't see what it acheives to be quite honest.
There was just this one post I saw in another thread earlier that really was unnessacarily discriminative : "Go find the "emo holocaust" thread! the title's something about MCR. It's so funny - there were just loads of people destroying this one little kid! =D "

I, personally, love MCR and i don't see what people seem to have against them. It's fine saying that you think they're bad but i think people are beggining to become afraid of speaking there mind due to flaming. I think that MCR should be put in because, all though some don't, many people DO love their music and it would pull in a lot more fans. I think that all parts would be fun to play and i don't see why so many dissagree, though i won't argue due to it being your personal opinion.

I hate MCR because of their awful vocals. It's like somebody with Bob Dylan's vocal range is trying to sing Freddie Mercury.

The guitar can be pretty sweet in some songs, but I'd prefer the vast wealth of bands with good guitar and vocals that are better than MCR.

Well, Blade, my problem with MCR being on the disc is that they would be quite concievebly taking up a spot that could go to Stevie Ray Vaughan, or something else of the like.

However, it may be a good thing to have them in the game to get all their little fanfolk exposed to things they'd never hear otherwise.

That said, I usually stay as far away from music like MCR as I can manage, so I don't know any of their songs, or have heard any for that matter. If it's as bad as Wings makes it sound (And I trust Wings' opinion), it shouldn't be in.

On the disc I mean, for DLC, I couldn't care less what gets put. They could have a recording of a man having sex with a goat, for all I care.

Thank you for expressing that you think me intelligent; as an MCR fan I am generally told the contrary.

I understand that some, well - a lot of My Chem fans come off as stupid on the internet. This, I believe is due to the fact that the fans that are most often heard on the net are the fangirls/boys who seem to have nothing better to do than claim that they are "MCR's number one fan" while inadvertantley making the world hate them by posting things like "OH MY G33Z!!11! G3RALDZ WAY IZ S00 HAWT@11!"
The majority of MCR fans who are infact intelligent, or at least all of the ones I've met, prefer to stay away from discussing the band in the 'mainstream internet' and stick to the MCRmy forums where it is actually possible to have an intelligent converstion about My Chem without the general bashing that is normally encountered.

You may be surprised to hear that I do agree, to a degree, with the point you made about the music being based around bad singing etc. I do not think that MCR's music, and the like, is technically perfect - far from it! The singing is okay, some songs display what seems to be very good vocal talent, others the opposite - some songs really make me cringe at the vocals.
The guitar contrast between Ray Toro and Frank Iero shouldn't work when put together - sometimes it doesn't, and yet on some songs it is a very effective crossing of styles.
I could go on for quite a long time, but long story short- no. The music is not perfect, but it is not engineered to be. It is designed to speak to people on a more personal level, whether for good or for bad. Of course there is going to be a huge amount of adversity and it is not unfounded. But there is also what may become a cliche, if you will, "MCR saved my life". So many people claim it, and most are either exaggerating or just out and out lying; but there are a select few for whom it is utterly true. How can a band save someone's life? You may ask that, all I can say is that, in my experience, you hear a lyric or lyrics in a song that really seem to 'speak to you'. It sounds odd, I know - but this has been going on for generations, just recently I talked with someone who is currently in the MCRmy who had become severely depressed as a teenager and had found Queen's music who, and I quote, " had given me reason to live again, they're lyrics and music spoke to me in a way that no other band had before. MCR seems to be doing the same for a remarkable amount of this generation."

Bold: I completely agree, that's how I feel at school, all my friends are like that to me.

Anyways, I'm a huge fan of the band, I'd like to see Welcome To The Black Parade, Famous Last Words, Dead!, Sleep, and some stuff from the second album would be awesome as well.

And also, I think many of the My Chemical Romance songs would be really fun to play. Even people who don't like the band thought most of the songs in GH2 by MCR, Dead!, Famous Last Words, This Is How I Disappear, and Teenagers, were fun to play.
