I just want to let the Devs and anyone else who might care (if no one at all)
I actually took the time to check the list of record labels artists that are going to be available (pretty sure anyhow) on wikipedia when submitting my requests.
There is no point in submitting a request that can or will not be accepted due to rights acquisition. There of course are a TON of bands that I had in mind and choosing four was very hard needless to say.
I took considerable time to think over my choices, taking into account things like accessibility, popularity, and other crap that i don't even care about. I know that you've gotta have songs on there that people like and/or are fun to play.
Make my life easier next time and get Century Media and Roadrunner records to sign on.
Music is my life, I think what Harmonix is doing is amazing and I hope you guys keep up the good work!

You know Roadrunner is owned by Warner, right?

I thought the list included EMI Music Publishing, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Hollywood Records, and Warner Chappell Music.
Are you referring to Warner Chappelle?

Just because a label isn't officially aligned with the game doesn't mean they can't get song rights for it though, right? Nor should it mean that they'll definitely get the rights if it is one of those labels listed.
If they were actually paying the labels a lump sum for access to catalogue then I could see it, but as far as I know it's still on a case by case basis that money switches hands?

Yeah, I think they'll still be some challenges getting some songs even though there is a deal with a particular label. I doubt they just give access to everything right off the bat
