They have a lot of songs made specifically for guitar, drums, and vocals. There are very few made for bass. I don't know if it has been rumoured or if it has already been suggested, but they need a Primus pack. My name is Mud, John the Fisherman (from guitar hero 2), Mr. Krinkle, and all the other badass songs. I hope the makers of RB actually read and take the suggestions from this forum.

Welcome to the forums. When requesting songs to be put in Rock Band they really should go in the Ultimate Setlist section of these forums or you can do it using the request a song feature down the bottom of the page.

Buy Hysteria, Red Tandy, and the Grateful Dead pack.

Disturbed, Boston, Judas Priest, Sabbath, and Pixies all have a few songs that are great on bass. Look them up on youtube.

Just reiterating that the Boston, Black Sabbath, heck even the Metallica packs have some great bass lines. I would also recommend "Gimme Three Steps" and other Skynyrd, I was pleasantly suprised at how active and their bass lines are.

I agree, except I will say that You've Got Another Thing Comin' is a bit boring on bass.

Afterlife is pretty good, I think. The main riff is exactly like the guitar's, and it gets really fun in the pre-choruses. Yeah, the choruses are a bit bland, but the rest of the song makes up for it I think.

Hysteria is far and away the best bass song, it's more than worth your $2. Inside the Fire is very good also, pick it up while it's a buck.

Highway Star is beastly fun on bass.

The obviously great bass song so far is Hysteria.

We need RHCP. Old RHCP. Suck My Kiss, Higher Ground, Fire (For the bass line, Jimi's was better overall), Give It Away, even Under The Bridge would be great (Incredibly fun on a real bass)

And Around the World. I would be a happy panda.

I have to recommend if you don't already have it, "Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed. The bassline in this one is so fun, and there's even a bass solo in the middle (not an "official" solo, mind, but still). Check it out :)

my favorite is ride the lightning, so close to FC'ing this but it just takes so much concentration and the song is so long! hysteria is fun if you like to hurt your fingers (it's a tap fest, hardly any strums), all the disturbed is good, all metallica cept enter sandman is good on bass, all greatful dead is good on bass, i wouldnt recommend judas priest as all but maybe 2 of their songs are super easy on bass and snorefests, ggaht is great on bass but probably the most fun song to play on bass especially for a sightread is china cat sunflower by greatful dead, it's intense as it's not the same beat over and over, songs with the same beat over and over = boring imo, need a lot of change ups to be great.

Try the new DLC, "Silver", from the Pixies.

No, don't really buy it for the bass.

The most fun I've had on bass is easily the GD pack.

On the disk, Won't Get Fooled Again...

inside the fire is pretty good for bass, even if it just mimics the guitar at times. Won't Get Fooled Again has a pretty good bass part as well.

I've got to agree with you there, there isn't that many bass driven songs in the game, however here are a few I can think of:

Hand that feeds
Hysteria
I'm so sick

Theres a few others to, but I would like to see some more bassy songs.

The problem with Hand That Feeds is it's so simple in its repetition that you can almost do it with your eyes closed on expert bass after a couple tries. At least, I almost can. It's still fun, but don't expect it to be challenging.

I guess I'll finally state some of my favorite bass stuff...

Hysteria
anything Boston
anything Rush
Won't Get Fooled Again
The Hellion/Electric Eye
Simple Man
Dani California

Bass songs that are more fun if you do bass + vocals or you have people to jam out with (because bass is either bland or simple)...

Enter Sandman
Welcome Home
anything The Police
You've Got Another Thing Comin'
Hand That Feeds
All the Small Things

Also, Call Me and Saints of Los Angeles have fairly easy but incredibly fun bass. These are halfway between the 2 categories above. It's fun with or without other things, but they're easy enough that you can really easily sing too.

I know some people don't like Maps or Still Alive but they're incredibly useful for one thing - you only play for about half the song and when you do, it's very easy. They're good songs to half sleep in. ;)

Yeah. I really do play bass too much. :p

Primus.....Jerry was a race car driver
If they made anything Primus, you'd be getting some serious bass.
