1. The release date moved up to 11/20. This is honestly the last thing I expected after all that time waiting to announce it officially as 11/23. Three more days with this game while I'm off from school!

2. Create a character and BWT being so awesome. Never thought I'd care about either one in a rhythm game at all, but they're both looking like awesome features.

3. When RB took over E3 and won all of those best of shows on gaming sites.

4. Finally letting bass be available via quick-play at least.

5. Amazing amount of masters. There was a time when 25% of the announced songs were covers (1 of the first 4). Then there were still 25% covers when the next four were announced (2 of the first 8). I expected the ratio to hover around at 25% for the rest of the announcements. I am so pleasantly surprised that only one more cover has been announced since those first eight songs were revealed. The percentage of covers is now only 8% (3 out of the 37 officially announced main setlist songs). For perspective, even if ALL of the last 8 formally announced main setlist songs were covers, there would still only be a percentage of 24.4% covers, less than that original 25% pattern. But I would realistically expect the final percentage of covers to be in the range of 6% - 10%.

6. Foreplay/Long Time.

7. All the other things that demonstrate the work gone into this game. 41 venues. Guitar effects switch. Free-styling in songs. If you're creative with the little things, no song ever has to sound the same way twice when you play it.

1. None yet. If the Les Paul doesn't work for Rock Band AND the Strat doesn't work for GH3, then that will be my WTF. If there's no cross-compatibility whatsoever.

What the hell is up with the rectangle notes! Please give us the option for circle notes! It is a big deal and rectangle notes don't allow for alot of smooth rythm, as you're concentrating on the small rectangles.

What the hell did they do to the strum bar?! Why is there no freedom to it? Why does it only move about 1/4 of what the past Guitar used too? Please fix it! Hopefully, the Les Paul in GH3 will work, because that guitar owns and is very well made. The difference in controller making from Red Octane to Harmonix is immediately apparent... *sigh*

The sheer depth, complexity and freedom, not to mention pure inspiration, of the BWT. Absolutely amazing.

The lip-synching and emotion shown on the face of the singers in the solo guitar montage video. Honestly, the expression of the female singer during Maps is phenomenal, and the fact that the guitar player was playing with his eyes shut, just fully giving himself to the music...great touch.

DLC every week. DLC albums. DLC being picked by people whose life it is to know music, to appreciate music, and to worship music. This will hopefully give us a wide range of genres instead of the boring old metal/mainstream stuff.

The incredible access that the devs have given us to the entire process. I don't know if everyone realizes this, but there has been more info in dev blogs and posts than you would get out of most developers, and keep in mind that this company is still a part of EA, a company who hasn't exactly been eager to let out info, and it's all the more amazing. I truly believe that HMX always has the fans in mind, no matter what, and their interaction throughout this process only strengthens that belief.

There has been exactly one thing that has me less than exultant, and it's the lack of on-line or SOLO BWT. I understand the barriers that stand in front of an on-line BWT, but I just cannot understand what would make HMX, one of the rare devs that seems to keep the wants and desires of the fans in mind at all times, decide against allowing every single person on planet Earth from experiencing BWT. Even if it's just a dumbed down version, I want to be able to make decisions, to feel the excitement of the risk/reward system. Getting high scores in the solo tour will be fun, unlocking songs will be fun, but there won't be that rush of having to meet certain goals to advance. That's been taken away from the solo players, and I just cannot understand why.

That Tom Sawyer vid is sort of mysterious. It sounds like it might be rhythm guitar to me. I don't think it can be lead. I could hear the lead guitar having a solo in the background (look at 1:10 to 1:20) and the notes on-screen didn't correspond to it at all. I'm not too good with distinguishing guitar vs. bass, but I'm fairly confident that this is not lead that we're seeing.

* drum set/ getting to play drums!

* 100s of DLC songs over the next year


Thats just to name a few, Rock Band rules, November 20th why can't you be tomorrow?!
