Are there any photos of the PS3 Strat anywhere? I can't seem to find any. I know it's wireless, but is this controller going to be similar to GH3's with the dongle?
The reason I'm asking is that I just picked up a PS3, yet my pre-order is for the 360. So I'm in a bit of dilemma as to whether I should switch my bundle order or not. Especially considering that I've only 5gig's of HD space left on my xbox.... Man is this thing (PS3) quiet.:D

The PS3 version does have a wireless dongle that plugs into the USB ports of the console. As far as photos of it go, I actually have a couple myself from a press event that was held in Canada. It looks exactly like the 360 Strat, just minus that wire stretching out of the guitar.
There's also this article on IGN about the PS3 version here. (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/828/828800p1.html) It has a photo of the dongle.

I went looking for some unboxing photos that were in this month's PSM (the one with Turning Point on the cover), but I couldn't find them online in a quick search... Their unboxing photos show the dongles plugged in to the PS3 console... they're... um... weird... think of the PS2 SG dongle, but on about a 2 1/2"-3" USB cable. hanging from the USB port... dangling... or... dongling?
Speaking of PSM... is it just me, or is their website incredibly sh!tty? I mean... it looks like a damn Wordpress install. How depressing. I think before they contemplate changing their name to "Playstation: The Official Magazine", they should get a website that doesn't suck.

Yeah I couldn't find them either. I wonder why they haven't been revealed? It's not even a wireless vs. wired thing for me though. I could really care less about that. Although the 3 AAA BATTERIES do suck, at least it'll give some extra weight to the guitar.
My bigger concern though is the 5 gig's left on my lowly 20 gig 360 HD. When I've got a full 80 gig's that DLC will never fill up on my PS3.
Does anyone one else here have both consoles and don't know which version to pre-order?

There really isn't much crap to delete. That 20 gig does fill up fast. I don't even have any TV shows/Movies on that thing. Maybe a few MP3's, game saves and a few arcade games. That's it. So I'm a bit worried how fast RB DLC will fill up that hard drive.

That's a valid concern, but if you're willing to spend a little more, you can buy a new laptop Hard Drive and install that in your PS3. The PS3 is actually using industry standard laptop HDDs, so some people simply go out, get a 160GB HDD, plonk that in, and are good to go. You might not want to spend THAT much on your extra HDD space, so just find a level you're comfortable with and go with that.
And no, this will not void your warranty. This particular activity has Sony's complete blessing.

What exactly goes into replacing a PS3 HDD? What kind of software installation or formatting is involved?

It depends on if you want to keep what's in your old HDD. But even then, it's pretty simple

Just a tip from me: Be VERY careful when you unscrew the screws. They're very delicate, and strip easily. I almost ruined my PS3 because of the stupid things  But it's all good now
