If you don't have the PS3 now, being an Xbox owner. I'd say go for it man. Next year is the time to shine for the PS3 and it will definitely bring out some wicked games. Plus you get a copy of motor storm which isn't bad at all. Only reason I'm not getting a PS3 atm is the lack of a job and I rather just get Rock Band. Really, in quality for games I've seen of the PS3 and 360, there isn't much difference. So I really don't get all the PS3 or 360 guys going, "OMG THIS HAS SO MUCH BETTER GRAPHICS THEN THE OTHER CONSOLE!!!!". Just doesn't make any sense to me.

Yeah look at the library of games the ps3 has compared to 360. Look at the exclusives the ps3 is losing. Please think before you go buy a ps3.

Aw come on guys don't let this turn into a console war. The PS3 is a great system, it's way more reliable than a 360. Sure it lacks in games right now, 2008 is a great year for the games though. Only problem with the PS3 is, Sony loves to start format wars (Blu-Ray Vs. HDDVD now) and they usually if not always end up losing. And the major fault with the 360 is... Microsoft did the same mistake Sega did, they wanted the console out early before any other new console thinking it would help their sales.

No, it didn't it just made them end up with a poorly put together system. Go with what feels more comfortable to you, Don't let fanboys make the decesion for you. Definitely don't go to gaming sites, especially if it's console based. They're both good consoles and honestly, if the PS3 had more games and I didn't have to deal with the ****ty Six-Axis control I would of walked out of the store on Nov 17th last year with a PS3 in my hand.

However with the next year coming up, better games will make it way to it's system. And Home will completely dominate XBL in every way. Sure I'll still be playing my 360 but at least I won't have to be one of the idiots to say I missed out on another great console just because I had master cheif giving me a rimjob.

In other words, Just go with the console that fits your personality best. They're all good in their own ways.

I wasn't trying to start one. Its just every single time someone buys a PS3 they call back about a week later asking if they can return it. Its happened sooo many times. I hate seeing people stuck with something. Sure maybe 2008 will be great for the ps3, but why not wait till then to save money? The price is sure to drop again.

Well the price -WILL- have to drop on the 60GB models. Unless they stop selling those, really. Who's going to buy a 60GB model when they can get the 80GB for the same price?. I Imagine the 60GB models will go down atleast $50. As for being stuck with a system, both systems have that deal about them. Get a PS3, probably won't like it. Get a 360, you'll like it until that ***** RRoD on you and you have to go through BS with MS. Personally I haven't had the awesome chance to do that, And I hope I never will.

I'd still go with whichever the majority of your buddies have (if they live to far away to just have them come and hang out) which was the deciding factor for me...

Can turn that off ya know. 'Cept for Lair and Folklore. Even then with Lair you can use a 3rd party controller without SIXAXIS and it'll have somewhat normal controls (flying on the D-pad and camera on the left stick). With Folklore well that's part of what makes it cool and is the best use of it yet.

You gotta hand it to Sony, the biggest complaint that kept getting brought up against the PS3 was it's price. They are certainly trying their best to take care of it. And between November of this year and March of next year, the PS3 library will become much healthier, so they are trying to take care of the "lack of game" gripe. They already took care of the "why doesn't my controller rumble?" complaint which was stupid to begin with.

I just thought the PS3 was a better value with blu-ray and wi-fi and a few minor things. But I'm never going to go out of my way to convince a person to buy one or not to buy one, becuase if I looked at a video game website and took in other people's opinions, I'd own a 360 and I wanted to make my own decision.

In a perfect world everyone would own a 360 and PS3.

But not the Wii, it sucks. :D lol jk.

I think it's really funny that the PS3 has become the Xbox of this console generation and the 360 has become the PS2. Instead of disc read errors we're getting red ring of death, but it's the 360 that has all of the exclusives because Microsoft has so much damn money. However, it seems like next year will be the good year for the PS3.

I still have my PS2, however. I can't upgrade to ANYTHING until I get a cash flow.

In Canada the 80gig is 499 and the 60gig is 449$ Woo-hoo!

I realize that, then you're just playing with a controller without rumble though. That doesn't sound too exciting to me.

But I do agree that if you are going to invest 300 to 500 dlls for a console (PS3, Xbox 360) you should at least have an idea of what your getting into. Those people you mentioned probably just walked into the store and saw the 360 the PS3 or the Wii and went: enee, meene, miny moe... like that, of course you could end up being disapointed.

Actually the 360 gets those too,it says the disc is dirty and it can't read it or it'll say it's not a 360 game. I've been getting them recently,even with THPG the first time I put it in.
