I was listening to my xm radio and a few songs from Linda came on and found myself singing along and realized they would be perfect for Rock Band plus alot of fun to play and sing. Call me crazy but I think these would be great:
It's So Easy -

You're No Good - (I really think this would be awesome)

That'll be the day or Heat Wave
Plus the Bonus DLC - Van Halen's version of You're No Good.

Linda Ronstadt would be excellent DLC - and she's not the only country artist who would be good for the game. I hope you'll come over to my Fate of Country Music (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55911) poll and vote on just how much country should make it into the game. And maybe propose some Linda Ronstadt songs for my Country Band (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51387) thread - I'm trying to weave in the best songs from all the country artists I can think of to create a setlist that would work for either DLC or the basic setlist for a separate country-themed game.
I think both of the songs you chose would work in Rock Band. I like Blue Bayou, but it's too slow and instrument-light to work in Rock Band. I do think Silver Threads and Golden Needles (http://youtube.com/watch?v=0FiKHaSRMeg) would work, but it's got too much of a country sound to work in Rock Band proper, so I think it would fit in a separate Country Band game on an early tier... or be RB2 DLC far in the future, after we get a lot of the better country stuff out of the way. And I don't know enough about the rest of her songs to make any better suggestions.
Anyway, do drop by my poll and vote on The Fate of Country Music (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55911) with respect to Rock Band. So far, people who say we need some country have more than a 2-to-1 lead over people who vote "COUNTRY MUSIC FANS MUST DIE" (yes, that's an actual choice on the poll), and actual fans of country ("lots of it - the faster, the better") almost equal the "DIE!" group, while about the same amount think country belongs in a separate game. We've not quite 150 votes so far, so even a few votes can make a huge difference - so let your voice be heard!
