The Eagles Should Be in Rock Band

I'm curious as to how many people agree with this. I see them mentioned occasionally, but not near as much as some bands. It's been proven that they can be liscensed (gh:wt), and I think they would be perfect for Rock Band.

They have songs ranging from soft, fun songs from their early years like Already Gone and Peaceful Easy Feeling, to the fast paced, slightly aggressive songs, Life in the Fast Lane for example (Joe Walsh era songs are my favorite). On a lesser note, Walsh and Henley had pretty good solo careers to, with songs like Life's Been Good and Rocky Mountain Way from Walsh, Dirty Laundry and Boys of Summer from Henly. Timothy Schmidt (current bassist) had a hit or to, as did Glenn Frey.

All in all, they are one of the greatest Rock Bands we've had, and therefore deserve to be put on the game. After all, who wouldn't love to play the intro to Life in the Fast Lane or the epic solo in Hotel California? I for one want One of These Nights as well (if nothing else for the cool sounding bass intro).

Rock Band has spurred my interest in a wide range of music, and I feel that I'm not familiar enough with many older artists that I should be familiar with by now.

So even though I don't know much by The Eagles, I would definitely love to hear more, and getting to play the parts makes the journey that much more fun.

Add Take It Easy (IMO the vocals would be fun to sing) to that list and you got a deal. Hopefully the GHWT isn't an exclusive.

I actually saw them live recently. They were absolutely fantastic, and had a huge variety in their songs. Plus, they have multiple hits that would be great in Rock Band. Take it Easy, Hotel California, In the City, Already Gone...

Song rights is obviously the reason they are not in RB yet...I'm sure HMX hasn't forgotten about them...so patience...I guess that's all we have.

If Rockband puts Eagles on the game, they better have some really good songs. Seems to me like when they put classic rock songs, they put the not-so-great ones.

Here's a list of songs that I want Rockband to add. They're in order-of-importance:

2. Get Over It (it would be Desperado but Desperado ain't a RB song)
3. Victim of Love
4. I Don't Want to Hear Anymore (Long Road Out of Eden CD)

that being said, as someone who owns the Eagles entire discography, I would probably rather have an album since many of my favorite songs were never released as singles and would never otherwise see rock band status, but any Eagles would rock, best band of all time IMHO.

Looks like I was the only one to vote 'no' - so far, HMX is doing an amazing job of including some of the more innovative, exciting musical acts in history in the game. Say what you will about them. but the Eagles =! innovative. I would look at putting the Eagles into the game akin to putting Nickelback in the game - hugely popular but after all is said and done it would be boring to play and listen to, IMO.

Comparing the Rock Band set list to the GH:WT setlist... let's just say the Eagles seem like more of a GH:WT band.
