Country music?

I know the title of the game is Rock Band but how about mixing up the genre a little bit and get some country. It would attract more people to play it since country music is pretty popular. Anyone agree?

Even some modern country wouldn't be bad. Harmonix would just have to be very careful with what they pick. Some of it is horrible but then again, some of it could be cool. Seeing as Rock Band is trying to give more options then just the guitar, some drum beats and vocal could be fun in some country songs.

GH1 showed with Crossroads that there can be a viable niche for country-themed songs. Even Texas Flood is sort of a blues-ey style, sorta country, and it's regarded by many as a top 5 song in the game.

Take it to the Limit by The Eagles,that's one of their country type songs.
Ain't Goin' Down 'till the Sun Comes Up by Garth Brooks might work.

Other than that I got nothin,very limited knowledge of country. There's an Alan Jackson song I'm thinking of but I don't know the name of it.

Little big town would be cool with boondocks and also devil went down to georgia. just make the violin parts be the guitar. Duelling banjos from the movie "deliverance" would be cool in co-op. yeah i would very much enjoy country in rockband
i mean the devil went down to georgia looks awesome for gh3
and i am a huge country fan [then again i listen to everything]
but some good country, even if its newer, as long as it can either be a goodsong for rockband in general [with equal parts for all players] or just a damn good party song. dont see why there is a problem.

Country wise, Hank III would be great. Otherwise, some more rockabilly type stuff is always good, like Social Distortion (or Mike Ness' solo work), The Legendary Shack Shakers, Heavy Trash and that sort of stuff.

Otherwise, if you want to do some country, you have to go back for it. There really hasn't been any great music is this genre since the 80's. (Except for Hank III)

I mean alot of people would complain about it but really, do we have to stay strictly to rock? The point of Rock Band is to cater to those who love music, no matter what the genre. At least that's what I hope.
