Anyone keeping track of the NFL lately? The patriots and the colts are the only teams undefeated right now. I can't wait till they face I think this will be one of the best season for the pats.
Discuss please.

Nice first post.
Pats are in a class above any other team. It is ridiculous how easily their offense can manhandle teams.
I am very proud to be a fan right now.

I really hope the Colts beat the Pats when they face off. The Pats are too good, and I really don't want to see any team go undefeated.
They haven't scored less than 30 points in a game yet, the need to be stopped! :p

I'm a Raiders fan (shocker) but again they're going nowhere and the Bears suck this year... but yes the Patriots are unstoppable and Brady is amazing, there's no question they'll win the super bowl this year

Yeah, not bad for a bunch of cheaters (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3014677) who gets away with a weak slap on the wrists.
On yesterday's Fox Pre-Game Show they brought up the topic again and reported that the nfl commissioner had stated that the next time a team gets caught cheating the punishment will be more severe. Bet he'll be saying that if the Pats end up carrying Lombardi's trophy in February.

I can't agree with you ThePaska. The pats is a special team and they will be that special team once every 30 years. I want them to keep going undefeated and I hope they do.
Tom Brady is too good right now:) If he breaks Peyton Mannings TD passes I will consider him the best QB in the world.

The best thing about this run is that it's coming right after that whole "cheating" scandal. Brady is throwing up all time numbers they are always giving whatever team they are playing that extra little jab touchdown and seem to be embracing a role as villans of the league.
Sox, Pats, and Celtics. I couldn't be happier to live in Mass right now. :D
Oh, I'm sorry. We have a 4th team. The Revolution of the MLS :D

I can see where you are coming from, and I also agree going undefeated is something special. Though they don't seem too special to me, it's not like they haven't won the super bowl three times recently...
I just want to know that the Pats are human, someone needs to beat them once, I don't enjoy watching them dominate every team out there.

I do, it brings me massive joy. I can't even believe some of the plays Moss is making. Washington even though they have a very strong secondary with all 1st round picks (Taylor, Springs, Rogers, Landry) better be ready.

The Pats and Colts are just totally on another level right now... the likes of which we haven't seen since the great 49ers/Cowboys teams that dominated the 90's.
It is truly fun to watch regardless of your team allegiance.

I have to say I am much impressed with the improved Colts defense even though they lost players. And watching this Monday night game with them and the Jaguars you can see that without Harrison the Colts offense takes a major step back. I know I'm stating the obvious lol.

My prediction of the pats colts game
pats win 42 - 24
If the pats win on sunday, and win all the way to the superbowl, they WILL be the greatest team of all time.

well statistically i think they already are the greatest team but the legacy will live on if they win the superbowl. they'll probably lose a game or two while resting brady at the end of the season and matt cassel will **** it up as usual but with a superbowl win they will be cemented in nfl history as one of the all time greatest teams of ALL TIMEZ

I know, I was trying to be funny. :D I dislike the Bruins organization. But, you can't sit there and say the Celtics won't have the better season. They play in a weakened conference with perhaps the best player in said conference since Dwayne Wade may miss a month or so.
The Bruins along with Boston College are the two "home" teams that New Englanders root for that I just can't stand.

They could, and it kills me inside. But hey, I'm a Nebraska Cornhusker fan so it's not like they are having a good season (at least Callahan will be gone at season's end.) So with BC up and Nebraska down this college football season sucks.

Hahaha. Cornhuskers. Ball State almost beat the Cornhuskers a few weeks back.
And I'm going with the Colts on this upcoming game. Homefield-advantage, and this city hates Mr. Brady.
Oh, and also Brady is a great QB, but the Pats have zero running game, and thus there are a lot of passes thrown.
Go Colts!

As much as I love all of our Boston, Mass. community members on here...
"The Center of the Sports Universe" is really starting to make me groan in agony...
1.) Your Celts will not beat my Spurs if they even reach the finals.
2.) The Pats - Cowboys game was not as lopsided as the final score was. That was just running up the score after the game was out of reach and our defense, knowing it was out of reach, didn't expect TB to throw touchdown passes in the final minutes or a slug up the middle for a TD with :18 left in the game. As a matter of fact, the Boys were the first team to actually lead the Pats this season. See you guys in the Super Bowl!
3.) As long as the Jankees don't win... I'm actually happy for Boston in this area. I'm also happy my 'Stros weren't the ones to get swept by them.
4.) Your Bruins are just cannon fodder for my Stars
So there you have it. While Boston may be the place to be right now, talk to me after the NBA Finals, the Super Bowl, good luck next year in baseball cause my 'Stros Blow, and talk to me after the NHL playoffs.
By the way...
Colts 31
Pats 28
Vinaterri sticks it to the Pats in the final seconds for not paying him what he deserved!

We didn't say they will, but the you have to at least be a little impressed by what they have done in the offseason
running up the score
There is no such thing in professional football. I could see if a NFL Team was playing a College Team, and decided to pile on the points at the end of the game, because it would be easy to, since of the extreme difference in skill.
But look at it this way, in the NFL there is a salary cap, so the playing field is leveled so there isn't any Yankee's(or even Red Sox, for that matter)that are spending mucho money which doesn't give teams like the Royals a chance.
So saying that the Patriots are running up the score is such a losers excuse for a blow-out. (not trying to start a fight with you or anyone else, im just sick of hearing this.)
Not saying that the pats will blow out the colts, but i will be very surprised if the pats lose.

When Peyton was chasing Marino he came to one touchdown away with a minute left in the game and on the opponent's 5 yard line. They were up 20 - 10. Did he knife them just for the sake of a record? Nope. He took two knees and ended the game.
Salary cap doesn't mean there is an even playing field. Take the Lions for example. The GM fills up cap space by throwing large contracts at mediocre players. The Patriots and Colts have awesome GMs that can make people believe that coming here can get you a championship and still pay you a decent salary.
Punching my Boys in the gut with :18 left while it was clearly out of reach is a big F--- You to the NFL in general. The legitamcy of their Super Bowls have been challenged due to Belicheat. They are try to make every have just as big of black eye as they do...
Like you said, if this was college... If this was college, what they are doing would fly... This is pros and some of these guys have been in the league for years and have never been disrespected like some people are thinking the Pats are doing. Belicheck leaves in Brady to throw bombs while its already won a couple more times, Brady is going to get blind sided. Shoot, I bet there is even a couple of rookie third string linebackers out there looking to make a name and willing to take a fine or suspension just to get some vet respect. I will go as far as saying watch for a bob sanders delayed saftey blitz in the third quarter. Little 5'9", 208 pound Sanders will try to put a helmet on him to send a message. That is just how Bob roles.
Don't worry, you can't pick a fight with me. I still have my memories of my 90's Cowboys. Everyone gets their fun in the Sun. I'm glad Boston is enjoying theirs.
lol cowboy fans are such huge douchebags. THEY GOT THEIR ASS KICKED ADMIT IT

Yeah, missing Harrison was a huge deal. And as a Pats fan when I saw that he was inactive at the beginning of the game it was a high sigh of relief for all of us.
Also Tony Ugoh who was an All-American tackle at Arkansas last year was out.
They'll probably meet up in the playoffs again this year, but with this win it will in all likelihood be in Foxboro, which is a huge advantage in January.

Excuse ? I do believe the colts had a bad game but I'm not going to say it's the *Only* reason they lost.
Do the pats have a better team overall ? I'd be stupid to say they didn't. They have a ton of quality players. They don't have the best QB in the league though

After the whole 'Cameragate' (or whatever) thing happened, there were some people that were saying that maybe that they've been cheating all along, and that their three Super Bowls were fake. I heard now that people are complaining about New England 'running up the score' on games that they had clearly won. My dad and I agree that now, being under even more scrutiny than ever, that this team is on a mission to just annihilate people. They're succeeding too. Ever since the Super Bowl against St. Louis, I've been a fan of the Pats, even though I am a Detroit Lions fan as well (I'm from Michigan). I hope the Patriots win the Super Bowl again! Also for all the people that say that the pats are evil and cheat and all that nonsense. If you didn't notice during the game last night, the colts had additional noise that they were pumping through the PA during the game to make it seem that the crowd was making more noise to mess up the pats.
Eastwood
11-05-2007, 03:33 AM
While pumping crowd noise through the speakers is dirty, it is also legal. There hasn't been a rule about it yet. I think the rule regarding speakers is no music or anything like that. Crowd noise is fair game. Rule needs to be changed to reflect that, though. Although I don't like Brady or the Pats and they proved my prediction to be wrong, you have to hand it to them. Brady is clutch. The D is clutch. It is a shame that the players are questioned because the coach broke the rules. Sure, stealing signals is cheating, but the players still had to execute in order to take advantage. I won't go as far to say they will remain unbeaten, just look at the 98 Broncos. They went 13 - 0 and finished the season 14 - 2.
