I have been playing since guitar hero2, and have bassically mastered the plastic guitar, leaving no challenge in these games ( But the drums rock :D). I then started brainstorming ideas of how the game could be harder. Then i thought about pedal changes in songs, like as if the main riff in a song was normal, than the chorus was in distortion. So my idea is pretend you have a guitar setup, than like the drums and orange bar comes down, symboling that you have to use your pedal.
Thoughts? Feedback?

It would definitely add a new element to the game. I don't think it would change the difficulty that much though. I'd have fun with it though.

I think the easiest way to add some challenge would put in open strumming. GH:WT is doing this with at least Bass. Open strumming requires no new peripherals or hardware for anyone.

I thought also about open strumming, but i was trying to think of new elements that havent been already thought of.

put in open strumming.
QFT Both RB and GH3 dropped the ball on that one. My friends and I have been wanting that gameplay element since GH1.

I think it's a great, doable idea to give it a little more realism and challenge without being too complicated.

Yeah... I have the wii drums, so the pedals are MUCH better than their cousin's. In fact, I doubt they'll break for quite a while.

You can mod an overdrive pedal on the Fender. It is easy. Just open it up cut out the tilt switch run a wire and button out of the guitar and mount it to a pedal. If any one is wanting to do it I can post better instructions. The cool thing is overdrive kicks in exactly where you want it. No delay no miss fires. Bad thing is I haven't figured out how to do it on an explorer yet.
