I know there will be people who will flame saying these aren't punk bands.
Yes they are Pop Punk, but the pack is based on the Punk Goes... albums.

"Everywhere" by Yellowcard (Punk Goes Pop)
"I Melt With You" by Sugarcult (Punk Goes 80's)
"Hey Jealousy" by Hit the Lights (Punk Goes 90's)
"I Wanna Love You" by The Maine (Punk Goes Crunk)

The reason I didn't put any Punk Goes Acoustic songs on
here is because there aren't any drums in those songs.

I'm sorry... did you just call Yellowcard punk?
Pop Punk is not punk...

OK, I haven't heard "I Wanna Love You", but the only song I know off Punk Goes Crunk is All Time Low's cover of "Umbrella". Which would be a blast. Aside from that, I like your picks. I'd probably also suggest The Starting Line's cover of "I'm Real", off Punk Goes Pop. For some reason I love pop-punk bands covering R&B crap. ;)

When I see the band name Yellowcard in a thread involving punk it bothers me.
I hold punk near and dearly in my heart.

Well I agree that it isn't necessarily punk.
And yeah I like those songs too I just wanted to try and pick one song from each album.

It's not a thread involving punk. It's a thread involving the "Punk Goes..." series of CD's. ;)
The punk label gets thrown around almost as liberally as the emo label these days, what's the point complaining about it?

I find the punk goes 80s amusing though :P!

Like I said, I hold it close and don't want it to change!
Especially when whiny kids from Florida do it...

...and I agree that it is thrown around like crazy these days.

Happy debating! :P

i honestly would rather have the original versions of the above songs, especially "hey jealousy", which would be a great add.
