Just saying that J & M White would be great for this game... while they're not my favorite group, I can't think of another modern day band that appeals so well to both the young kids and oldies, likewise.
(although I'm sure a few others will come to me after I've posted this, heh)

well, I never heard of them before they were on the Simpsons episode, but I checked them out.
Got to say, that song on the episode was pretty cool (I guess mostly because of the visuals in time with the beat lol), but not much else from them I've heard that would make me crazy for them.
however, good variety is always...good lol, and if a song is fun to play, there's not much negative to be said for such a thing is there?

They might've been okay for a GH game, but not RB. Meg White is a terrible drummer.

Not only is the drummer terrible, but there's no bass, if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah no bass, but still a bonus song would be sweet, Fell In Love With A Girl???

Ball and Biscuit would've made a great GH song.

There's no bass, but the band usually has a rhythm guitar over a lead, so a Rock Band appearance wouldn't be unfeasible. However, most of their big hit songs wouldn't be that great because most guitar lines just aren't that complicated, or they'll have one of the guitar lines drop out entirely for a significant duration of the song.
That takes out the big singles like "Seven Nation Army", "Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground", "Fell in Love With a Girl", "The Hardest Button to Button", "Blue Orchid", and "Rag and Bone".
Some songs, however, could work with a bit of reworking: "Black Math" could work if the lead is fleshed out a bit, and "Icky Thump" is meaty enough to split the guitar between two people. But in general, White Stripe songs seem better for Guitar Hero than Rock Band. Of course, who said that every song in Rock Band had to be for a four-piece?

Well Fell In Love with a girl would actually work because it has rhythm Guitar pretty much the whole time. Plus it would be a great opening song for guitar and drums, and a pretty hard vocal song.

White Stripes would be great, but i agree that it might be tough considering there is no bass at all. They'd be better in GH
As far as which song. Check out the new album, it far away blows their all their old albums out of the water.
Icky Thump, the first track, hands down their best song and the best song for any guitar game.

Catch Hell Blues would work better.

well, yeah. But that is all the song has--its got no lead guitar. The rhythm guitar really is one or two different riffs, so I can't imagine it being that much fun to play at higher difficulties, or even at easy difficulties. It's got the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" problem: great song; nice, crunchy, and iconic guitars; but it's still completely unsuitable for a guitar game.
