hey everyone, im from australia and im looking to import rock band for ps3.
here's an option i found on ebay which im considering, my first impressions were that im getting ripped off big time, ive never imported a game for overseas before, so my is question is... is that price range im gonna be looking at? It says i should have the game delivered to me by the 25th of november which sounds dam sweet, but is it worth spending $500 on...

Posted them in another topic NCSX.com and play-asia.com

NCSX doesn't have it listed yet and play-asia only has the game by itself right now but they both might have the bundle later.

listen i know you want the game but that price is ridiculas. no game is worth that much, no game enless it has VR (Virtal reality) in the title

Hey man, like revert said, try gamestop.

I'm also an aussie importing the game for PS3, and also called nick, crazy! Anyway, Gamestop seemed like the best option, it costs about $246 Australian* for the game and delivery, and u would have it b4 the end of November.

The 1 problem I had was using Aussie credit cards on their site, their systems didnt like it at all. I ended up ordering it through Barnes and Nobel (an affiliate of Gamestop) and it worked fine. Also they charged me less for shipping as they are unaware the box is huge, I told them about this and they still insisted the price wont change... We'll see about that.

*Subject to change depending on currency conversion rates, but at the rate we're going it might be even cheaper :D

Well I'm in London and ordered the same eBay listing yesterday - 160 quid, lets face it its going to be the same in GBP as it is in Dollars anyway, we always get ripped off anyhow.

Direct import from the US will only mean I have to pay VAT, import duty & shipping costs on top of the 169 dollars (about 90 quid). So for the fact that we're unlikely to see the game in the UK until the end of Q1 I'm happy to pay over the odds for the chance to play this over Christmas... Plus I had 90 pounds lurking in my paypal account :P

Lets just hope it works!

heres to hoping your tvs in POMEland and australia are NTSC/ATSC.

unless the games are region free and all formats, which i doubt.

Yeah all PS3 games are region free, and like 95% of tv made in the last few years are compatible with NTSC.

The only problem we may encounter is with the downloadable content. Worst case scenario, we have to buy a standalone copy of the game in a few months when it comes out here or just wait till the DLC is released on the Australian store an hope its compatible with the US version.

Im going to order my copy of rock band to (well import really) after I got a chance to play it (not waiting till 08 to play again) I know details on the 360 version being region coded or not have been released but I fill like taking a gamble, but if it is coded 2 us only then does any1 know of any sites or shops near London (UK) that chip/mod 360 consoles to play imports. If it comes down to it I will sell my old 360 & buy a US console but would prefer to just get it moded. Thanks:)
