I'm thinking that something from one of the last three albums would be great for this game. With the much heavier approach they've taken to their music in the last five years or so, there have been some amazing solos in their songs (Alex Lifeson on Anesthetize, though I don't know how a 17 minute song would fare in the game), coupled with Steve Wilson's amazing vocals and Gavin Harrison's awesome drumming (Shallow, anyone?), it would be perfect for multiplayer. It would also give a big break to a band that is relatively unknown in the US, while treating people who are already fans.

A few songs that I can think of off the top of my head that would be great for this would be Blackest Eyes, Prodigial, Halo (the solo would make your fingers bleed), Arriving Somewhere But Not Here, Way Out Of Here (would also be great for the new solo frets), and Sleep Together.

I would LOVE to see/hear/play some PT as part of Rockband. They are finally starting to get some much-deserved attention in the U.S., and would make a great addition to the set list.

I listed Shallow as one of my four suggested songs, since it got at least a little airplay here, and is relatively short (by PT standards) and straightforward. Open Car would also be a great choice to test folks' sense of rhythm. Halo has a great, slippery bass line that totally works for me, but the spoken vocals might make that track weird for singers. The Sound of Muzak would also be a great choice musically, but I suspect the lyrics might not be a good match for the game and the MTV connection. :)

I love Open Car, but I don't know how well it would work in the game. Same idea for Sound of Muzak.

I think everything I listed and talked about could work in the game, I just don't know how much a chance any PTree song has to end up in the game.

And by the way, I had Way Out Of Here on mine.
