I was wondering what the difference in difficulty on RB between the Guitar & Bass when comparing to GH2/GH3. I have read that Expert is not as hard on RB as on any of the GH's, but I was wondering if like the hardest RB songs on expert are like the 1st few tiers on GH or like the last tier on GH (hard)? Also what do you think the hardest song is going to be out of the list so far?

The layout of guitar and bass tracks in RB is identical to that of the GH games. On Expert, every note and chord is represented and placed appropriately. Songs that appear in both games (RB and GH3) will be very similar difficulty-wise. Since the GH games focus on guitar, it stands to reason that guitar tracks will be more difficult in those games. RB in general is band oriented, and while it still has some difficult guitar tracks, the game is not guitar oriented. HMX has plans to include guitar-specific downloadable content for RB though, for those who can't get enough of what Guitar Hero games are all about.

Really, the guitar difficulty is completely dependent on the song. RB's songs in general have easier guitar parts than GH3 as a whole. The easiest Expert guitar parts in RB are along the lines of late Hard tiers in GH2 and GH3 (maybe even a bit easier than that). The most difficult Expert RB guitar parts announced so far are probably as high as Tier 7 Expert GH (out of the 8 tiers in GH2 and GH3). RB will be easier for the guitar than GH3, but it will still have challenging songs in it - with many more to come as DLC if all goes according to plan.

Out of the list so far, Flirtin' With Disaster, Foreplay/Long Time, and Highway Star lend themselves to being the hardest guitar songs announced so far in the main setlist. Pleasure (Pleasure) by Bang Camaro has the most difficult guitar of the bonus songs so far - and may be more difficult than any main setlist songs right now.
