I was hoping to get back into RPGs a little but I haven't played much of them on the 360. What would be some good games to play?

I have Oblivion but I just never got into it. I love the Final Fantasy series and have played 7-10 and a little of 12...I think.

Let me know what your favorites are...

When Fable 2 comes out, I suspect it will top my list of 360 RPG's. As for games currently out, I'm sure you've tried Mass Effect. If not, punch yourself in the groin multiple times as punishment, then go get it.

I'm expecting Fallout 3 to be pretty good, but it's from Bethesda, the same company that created Oblivion.

You may like Blue Dragon. It's kind of an attempt to create an old-school, turn-based, FFIX-ish RPG with shiny next gen graphics. The storyline and character development are pretty meh, but it's got a neat combat/job class system. There's a demo on XBL I think.

Lost Odyssey is supposed to be very good as well.

I tried Oblivion on two different occasions, and neither time did it grab me. Not a fan of the huge, open world RPGs. And the clunky combat system is atrocious.

I haven't tried Mass Effect. Rock Band has been consuming my free time. Now i'm trying to branch out a little.

Yeah, I"ll check out these games. I don't like the openness of oblivion either or the battle system.

For an FF fan, Lost Odyssey is your best bet (Blue Dragon is a little more in the vein of the Dragon Quest games...).

Can't really compare Oblivion to FF, though... but I prefer Morrowind to Oblivion, mainly due to the environment auto-levelling system making it possible to get some of the best weapons and armor in the game with a Level 1 character (and possibly easier at that level than at Level 20).

If you liked FF games you would prob like Blue Dragon, turn base game.

Mass Effect is a pretty sweet game.

I really had to force myself to get through the first couple hours, but I ended up enjoying Blue Dragon after a while. Very old-school Dragon Warrior-ish

As far as 360 RPGs go, I've only played Oblivion and Mass Effect and I definately prefer Mass Effect.

I loved Mass Effect and Oblivion....Those are the best ones I've played in the past year or so. I don't like the turn based Japanese RPG's much (er...At all)

You will probably really like Lost Odessy if your a FF fan. It's by they guys who did FF, it has a really big FF feel to it.

Deadrising???

I mean you do kick a ton of zombie ass, and you do level up.

Did I mention you can disembowel a zombie?

I personally don't dig RPG's, the only one I adore is Fable, but that's original xbox.
