Will my RB1 band work in RB2?

Has anyone seen, read, or heard anything about if the bands I've created will transfer into Rockband 2 or will I have to create new ones? I hope they do It would suck to do all that hard work gaining fans and stars and such just to have to start over for the sequel. I know the DLC will work but I have'nt seen any info on game saves. Have you?

This was similar to one of the first things my girlfriend asked me when I said RB2 was being released. To her, she doesn't care about DLC or Online BWT, all she wants is the avatar she's spent ages making look like how she wants. Same applies to our band now that I think about it. Would like the band to carry over.

I'm betting that your bands can carry over. I'm also betting that they'll add enough new look options that your GF will want to spend even more hours customizing.

Not just that but you could always take a picture of your character and try to create them very similar to that in RB2. Or, heck, you could probably make the character even better.

I love my original characters but I would like to alter some things that just aren't possible to alter in the original game. For example, I've got this Japanese drummer character. I had to put black eye makeup on him to give his eyes that distinctly Asian slanted look to them. His eyes were way too big and round before. It's not ideal, and works... he's a drummer and therefore the game doesn't do closeups on his face too often. But I'd like to change the shape of his eyes if possible. RB2 MAY give us that option.

It's possible that your band will carry over, but I highly doubt that you'll "keep" all of your fans and stars thavt you've gained. RB2 will most likely have its own Band World Tour with its own venues and sets/songs, so none of your accomplishments from the first game should have anything to do with the new world tour.

I'm all for bands and characters carrying over, in fact, I'd be amazed if they didn't. What would be interesting is if they gave you something to do with all the money you can never stop earning.
