Will The Guitar Hero III Guitar Work?

I don't see why it wouldn't, and I know that Harmonix stated that the old peripherals would work with Rock Band 2, but are they including the X-box 360 Guitar Hero III guitar controller? I imagine it should, but I'd hate to see another flamefest reminiscent of the PS3 compatibility issues as seen at the launch of the first game.

Seeing as how it's RedOctane's controller and not affiliated with them anymore, I can't see Harmonix making a statement about this one way or the other.

If I had to guess, I'd say it will work on the 360. One that console, the Les Paul is just a standard controller with a different shape, really.

Well, I was hoping that perhaps I had overlooked something in the interviews about it. Or maybe I was just looking for speculations. Just because no one knows the big questions of "what is the meaning of life?" or "is there life after death" doesn't mean that the question shouldn't be asked.

How about this?

All prior versions of "Rock Band" instruments, as well as many from the competing "Guitar Hero" franchise, will also be compatible with "Rock Band 2."
Not exact, meaning we don't know which instruments will work with what, but it is some official news on the matter.

Nice find, I hadn't seen this article yet, but the fact that it says that multiple instruments from the Guitar Hero franchise suggests to me that the Les Paul should be compatible, that's good news.
