can the mic pick up low volume or singing at whisper level in case you don't want your voice heard over the song? (or no one wants to hear you, etc...)

There's no need to whisper! You can tweak the levels of the original mster voice and your voice outputting from the TV. If you're really that bad, you can drown out your own voice with the original master. ;)

ok thanks.
but i'm not talking about through the tv. I'm talking about actual voice volume. say if i'm playing at work in the break room, i know not everyone will want to hear me or anyone else. So i was wondering if i could sing at a whisper and the mic pick it up.

If you're eating the mic, then yes. I'm sure it could.

Probably not gonna work on Hard or Expert I'm sure though. To hit certain notes and pitch you really gotta increase the volume of your voice. But Easy? Yea, you could probably whisper with the mic in your mouth no problem ;)

You can adjust the mic sensitivity on the fly. I saw Sean do it at one of the Seattle stops.

i'm so glad you can turn the mic down, bicause i want to use everything in rock band, and my crappy voice shouldn't get in the way of that!

But whispering is NOT rock. Unless it leads to screaming :D

That's a very good tidbit of information to know.

Frank Zappa gets an exception to every rule. Including the rule to not name your child Moon Unit...
