View Full Version : Followed Harmonix Since FreQuency, Now Getting Boned Because I Have a PS3 :(

So, I bought FreQuency back on the PS2 instead of Grand Theft Auto 3 and never looked back. Amplitude was my most anticipated release on any system after I bought FreQuency. My roommate and I got Guitar Hero a day earlier than the release date (Best Buy sold us one of the floor demo units), and we preordered Guitar Hero 2 at our Gamestop the second it was announced. My Gamestop manager told me I was the first preorder in the entire system (not sure I believed him, can one store check the entire database?).
I bought a PS3 (aside from some choice franchises) mainly because Harmonix showed such Sony loyalty in the past. I preordered Rock Band the second I could as well and I download all of the DLC every update.
Now, a few months of Xbox360 exclusivity isn't the worst thing in the world, but, Harmonix? What happened to your Sony relationship? Was it the MTV acquisition? MTV is pretty big on the Xbox360, so that could be.
I just hope Harmonix does something nice for us PS3 users, especially those of us who bought a PS3 because we figured that's the best chance of getting Harmonix games, judging from their past catalog.

I'm sure they have a good reason and that they'd like to release them both in September if they could. I also wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 version got a few free DLC songs included.
That said, is it me, or is there an alarming percentage of PS3-anguish-threads that use the word "boned" in the title today?:D

Hey, thanks for chiming in on this discussion. In the interest of keeping repeat threads to a minimum we're trying to keep discussion localized in one thread. You should definitely feel free to redirect all future conversation to the pre existing thread.
Be sure to keep posted for more info on the PS3 launch of RB2. We'll have more information shortly.
