Whether some people realize this or not, the game is probably finished. It takes 2-3 months after a game is finished before it is physically able to hit shelves. Has to be manufactured, rated, tested, shipped, etc., etc. Whatever you say right now about the game will probably not affect anything in the game. So quit with all the threads complaining about this, demanding (insert feature here) will be in the game, etc. It's annoying.
Also, about the PS3 fiasco. I have sympathy for you, but no one but Harmonix employees know the real situation or why it happened. My personal guess? that the PS3 version was running late already, so they decided to milk the Microsoft cash cow for all it was worth. But then again, that's my personal guess. You'll still get the game, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as much as everyone else. Hopefully they will fix a lot of the ongoing problems, and you guys will get a fine tuned game. I would love to see nothing more.
The biggest thing that is bugging me though, is that everywhere I look, I see a thread DEMANDING that we get our songs from the RB1 disc.
Two suggestions:
1. Get off your lazy bum-bum and swap disc, or
2. Shut the h*ll up
there are probably big hurdles in the contracts with the bands/labels that are keeping this from happening. If it happens great, if not, oh well. I'm sure HMX is trying their best.
That is my rant.
But, I, for one, am looking forward to Rock Band 2. The interview encouraged me, and I think HMX is gonna knock it out of the park. It looks like they are rivaling or bettering every feature GH:WT announced. Harmonix has not failed us yet, and I don't expect them to. They built a great community here, and I love checking and seeing the developers and PR dept. interacting with the community.
I'm excited for the future of Rock Band, Harmonix has been great to us, why don't we show them the respect they deserve.
Once again, sorry for the rant, but all the threads complaining about RB2 or demanding things out of RB2 started annoying me, and I had to say something.
