For GH1 GH2 and the 80's they normaly realesed the setlist 1 month before game was realeased. so i guess we will have to wait like we have been doing.

Well, there's more corporate partners involved this time around -- including touchy ones like MTV and EA, who are not known for grassroots PR.

I doubt there's any huge surprises in store other than the tracks we already know about. What's more unknown are the bonus tracks... such as if they sneak in some subculture hit like they did with Trogdor and Thunderhorse.

Don't give up hope yet! I would still expect to hear something from them toward the end of the week, to take a few last shots before GH 3 comes out on Sunday.

This week belongs to GH3. There's no point making a major announcement, and risk getting lost in the noise of the GH3 launch.

I'm sure we'll the PR machine will be back up in full force next week.

If you remember from previous games, a lot of the songs were leaked, or someone found them on the pre order box or something similar. Harmonix seems to have a tighter control on what info gets out this time. I bet good money there are still quite a few heavy hitters to be announced.

I hope they don't have any heavy hitters that aren't alternative because we will wind up playing whatever it is a hundred times before we beat world tour. I don't want to play a song I have listened to for forever like Zeppelin. They have songs like that I only need to play once or download. Who they need to announce is someone like Audioslave or Rage against the Machine to help improve a guitar center and counter clash the Tom Morello boss battles. Then they need someone like Guns N' Roses to make the 80s more Rock and Roll instead of history of alternative subculture, also counter the Slash in GH3. Bonus Artists I would think would be fun for next game are Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, Replacements.

Picking a good Rage song would be a nice little shot at GH3, but then again I can whip out any Rage song title and it would be better than BoP... No offense to those who enjoy the song, it's just way too simple for me minus the scratching which you can't emulate anyways.

well they could but it'd have to be a mini game and use the whammy bar and then substitute a solo button for a kill switch. It's be about as close as you could get with the controller.

I don't care really. GH3 is right around the corner so by the time I get tired of them songs, Rock Band will be here. Unlocking fresh songs that I didn't know were gonna be in the game is gonna be like finding gold in your backyard. It's gonna be great.

He used the Strat mainly in Audioslave, in E tuned songs (named Soul Power). I don't think he uses it anymore though, since Audioslave broke up.

If they were to go with a Rage song, I'm thinking Wake Up would be all around best, but I'd be fine with Testify or Sleep Now In the Fire (even though they are relatively simple guitar and bass lines).

Just not Guerrilla Radio.
