I was wondering how responsive the drums are? If there are any drummers here who have tried the RB kit out, can you play double stroke rolls for faster note sections or free fills? does it feel like playing on an electric kit? im sure it wont feel quite the same, i just hope its not too sluggish

I've never played real drums, but I didn't bang too hard on the drums and they seemed very responsive to even subtle touches.

Not a drummer either, but never had a hit that didn't register no matter how soft I was hitting. Hitting them softly was a bit of a challenge to a non-drummer as I tend to go into freak-out mode when getting into the song. Biggest problem for me was not hitting the rims of the pads. Going to need to either get more accurate or keep an extra set of sticks on hand... :)

Well, there's only so many ways to make a drum trigger. I assume they won't be any more sensitive than your standard electric kit. In the end, I'm sure the HMX guys (many of whom are drummers) know what they're doing and won't make a song that requires more sensitivity than the drums can provide.

Who cares about the pads. What about the pedals?

double-stroke rolls were a bit tougher to do on the RB drums than on real drums (duh) or even any e-drums I've played. Just because they're a tad softer, with less rebound than other drums.

Although I'm sure with some adjustment and change in technique you'll be able to do them just fine.
