Rock Band 1 disc songs on RB2?

Sure I will get flamed for not reading to page 84 in all the threads, but did a quick scan of recent ones. Anyway, any word yet since RB2 official confirmed about the songs on the disc for RB1 if it will be somehow compatible or have to take out RB2 and put in RB1? Be great if made it a free download if you have all first game, along with letting them be purchased if anyone just buying RB2 without RB1. Can't say that will take time, since already tracked. Just on the coding of it will take extra time.
