I think a lot of people will agree with me when I say that Rock Band could use some more innovative songs. For instance, something along the lines of Radiohead. Their In Rainbows album was just amazing. The vocals, drumming, guitar and bass are all very challenging. Especially a lot of the bass lines are tricky which most songs these days lack. The songs are perfect to grooving to. If you had four people in your living room playing one of their songs, you would really feel like an accomplished band. I think it would bring a unique and exciting experience to Rock Band gamers. I think that the Silversun Pickups would be amazing on the game as well. And I think Harmonix would get a lot more players if they focused on more present bands. I think everyone agrees that a My Chemical Romance or Paramore track pack would sell like crazy!! I would love to see those two bands as well as some more modern like LInkin Park, Saosin would be good. Senses Fail. Snow Patrol. Jimmy Eat World. 30 Seconds to Mars would be amazing, just like the 2 dlc songs. And of course my all time favorite Funeral For A Friend. AMAZING BAND from England. IF you dont know them, DO!!

The best songs are those that are well-balanced for guitar, drums, and vocals. They are also songs that have several changes in different sections of the song. They also should have an aesthetic hook to them. They should be fun to listen to.

There are a lot of songs that I like to listen to on my iPod that I wouldn't want in the game because they'd be kind of boring. Songs where the drums keep a steady rock beat becoming boring quickly. Variations to the standard rock beat work best. Same with guitar. So many of these modern pop-punk songs bore me to tears because they are just an endless string of chords played on the main beat. I like songs that mix things up a lot. I'm not a fan of the Grateful Dead's music, but songs like "Franklin's Tower" or "Sugar Magnolia" have a little of everything in them, so they are always fun to play.
