I saw it in theaters the day after its release (July 5th) and it became one of my top favorite movies. It's just so perfect that no other movie can really compete with it in the action genre of today. I wanted to get the HD version of it on DVD, but I decided to get the one that folds out into Optimus Prime because that's all they had.

You're right, they actually have 2 or 3 sequels planned I believe. The next one is supposed to introduce the Dinobots, the Constructicons, and Soundwave.

I loved the movie. It had a lot of things in it for diehard fans. My only complaint is that they didn't expand on the relationship between Starscream(my favorite transformer) and Megatron. Everything else tho was awesome.

Still doesn't touch the original movie tho.

I would say you made the better choice, but you def still need to see Live free or Die Hard because it kicked ass.


Transformers the movie......I can say that I never saw the cartoon (I don't think) and I completely and utterly LOVE this movie. It is my favorite movie of all time. I can't say there was one bad thing about it, the acting, the directing, the plot. Holy ****!! If you ever had doubts about seeing this movie, you need to reconcider and BUY the DVD because it is the most kick ass action movie ever. period. and 2 and a half hours was not even enough for this movie.

One of my favorite movies...I did watch the cartoon...but I thought the acting was a little meh...it often is though.

Dont believe your friend....Honestly if you like action movies and huge fighting robots then this is the movie for you. It has a nice plot with Shila Buief (sp?) and megan fox?? Sub plot with the military. I'm telling you like no joke it was non-stop action once it started, it was like a ball until the big climactic ending in the city busting buildings and cars. Sick, just sick I tell you.:D :D There was also a decent amount of humor.

Plus the directing had awesome shots swooping and flying all over...

Most people will tell you it's pretty good.

There are those two groups tho that seem to hate it a lot. Those being the people that are mad because it's not the same as the cartoon and the people that think it's a stupid movie that lacks deep characters and some complex plot. Which, it's not supposed to do either one of those. So if you go into it expected an over the top action movie with really cool robots, then you'll prolly love it.

yeah i was gonna mention that this movie seems to be a uhhh idk the word for it but the opinions on it are split. if you just wanna see a pwnful action movie, then watch it and behold some of the greatest action movie scenes of the past 10 years. if you wanna see a well thougt out movie about mechanics and the idea of mechanic beings then don't watch this movie

Meh, it's overrated.

When I saw it, I almost fell asleep at least 10 times during the last 30 or so minutes... and I NEVER fall asleep during movies unless they're really not interesting me.

I agree, not that it is overrated, because I'm actually surprised everyone thinks its so good, but it really wasn't good at all. I guess it was good for a Michael Bay film.

I mean I love transformers don't get me wrong, they were cool enough, the action was great. The movie itself was pretty poor though. Shia LaBeouf is great, I think he is really funny, and I thought he did a good job in this movie as with most of his movies. And of course I fell in love with Megan Fox, she is soooooo good looking.

That all doesn't change the fact that the movie was pretty mediocre, nothing really memorable came out of it, but it wasn't a terrible movie either. It isn't really something I would pay for to see again either.
