Hi, I just wanted to say that I'd like to see some Joy Division in Rock Band

Some great songs;
Transmission (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6ZwMs2fLoVE)
Love Will Tear Us Apart (http://youtube.com/watch?v=K0dfd_L4tDk&feature=related)
She's Lost Control (http://youtube.com/watch?v=QVc29bYIvCM&feature=related)

I would also like some Joy Division, or even some New Order, if there's some material that would work for the game.

Yeah thats why I put Transmission first... Not only it is one of their best, and one of the most exciting songs of all time (forget where I heard that). If any Joy Division song fits in Rock Band, that's the one.

I would love the song Ceremony. Either bands version. It would work great in RB imo.

Yes! Any JD would be great. I can't say HMX has really spoiled us with post-punk/goth DLC...

Also, if they do decide to put New Order in the game, I really hope it's Age of Consent (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTa2pXXa7do).

Absolutely! Joy Division is one of my favorite bands.

Along with the three songs already recommended, i'd have to suggest Shadowplay, Twenty Four Hours, Walked In Line, No Love Lost, Komakino, Day of the Lords.... ok, that's probably enough :D

Some of the songs aren't the most exciting to play, but you can have a lot of fun with them... especially when singing. Check out youtube for some of Ian Curtis' dancing!

I'd post links to vids for the songs, but my computer's about to lock up. Better post this quick before I lose it!

Yeah, Joy Division would be the ultimate for me. Every single aspect of the band is so solid and unforgettable. Rock Band really could use some post-punk, as characteristic of most of the bands the bass lines aren't simplified versions of the guitar parts, but rather completely different. Transmission, Digital, She's Lost Control, Shadowplay, New Dawn Fades, Love Will Tear Us Apart... these would be AMAZING in the game.

Now, of course, the infamous Transmission performance

Sorry, 15 year old opinions don't count in this thread.

Joy Division would be a blast, especially on vocals.

I would go with Dead Souls, Disorder and Ceremony (technically New Order, but written by Ian).

This band doesn't have enough potential to be put on the game compared to others.

for ex:AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Santana, and many others that aren't on it

Joy Division fans, you should check out the movie "Control", that just came out earlier this month.

this statement makes no sense

HMX doesn't choose only mega platinum groups to be in Rock Band

OK Spanky, whatever you say. Who the F*** are you to judge one's potential at 15.

Joy Division was a huge pioneer in the post-punk music change in the late seventies and had it not been the suicide of front-man Ian Curtis the band would have no doubt gone onto to being as iconic as The Clash, The Sex Pistols and The Cure to name a few.

P.S. Staying on topic some song choices I would want to see.
Love will Tear Us apart
Isolation
Shadow play
Atmosphere
Transmisson
Dead Souls
We Walk In Line (when they were Warsaw)

I'll take JD over any of those. Axel Rose blows. AC/DC all sounds the same and we have enough classic rock.

Yes, Shadowplay needs to be included.

That's a good point. Now that I think about it I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been any post punk dlc. At least, none that I can think of off the top of my head.
