PS3 GH Aerosmith guitar recognized as a microphone

Is there anything I can do for the PS3 to recognize this as a guitar...if not I just wasted $60 because GH Aerosmith blew:mad:

Well unfortunatly Activision blocked the release of HMX's patch that would allow the PS3 Guitar Hero instruments to be used in Rock Band.

Now you have two reasons to thank Activision, a lame sequel and a useless controller.
