Just the old stuff, seriously it would make for great Rock Band material. Consider Basket Case, Longview, When I Come Around... all that stuff, it would be great!

Also, i know that a lot of people are saying that they dont want typically bad bands like Creed and Nickelback, but have you ever done Karaoke to Creed? Seriously its so much fun, especially when you are drunk/high/both. I am all for putting stereotypically bad music into rock band because it would be so much fun.

One question though, does anyone have any insight as to how HMX will treat cursing in songs? my idea was that the songs on the disc would be generally clean with DLC containing more adult material if that is what you want.

You know, I bashed people a while back who wanted GD in RB, but now I must say Minority would be a great song for the game. But the ONLY Green Day song for RB.

Although people that don't like Green Day are and continue to be a rather vocal contingent, I would personally love to see their stuff on DLC, be it old or new.
The old stuff would probably be recieved better as the new stuff has been kind of overhyped/overplayed to death... even though the full, nine minute Jesus of Suburbia would be, in my opinion, totally incredible.
But, all opinons aside, I think Green Day in Rock Band would be pretty good fit that would go over pretty well with "the masses," as it were, even if some of you would get yourselves in a bunch over it.

there are plenty of songs in RB and GH that I personally don't like and you cannot expect everyone to enjoy every artist/song that you choose to put into the game. that being said, old time Dookie/Nimrod would be awesome and I think a large amount of people would buy it.

I cannot stand Nickelback but honestly I would love to wail along to Someday/How you remind me. I won't feel complete until i have some terrible music that i can appreciate through rock band because it makes the party live

any idea on DLC including more adult themed albums/songs?

I could do with a Green Day song. My sister would love it, at least, and it makes for some okay light listening. I can't stand it in large doses, though.

Yeah, i hope RB will include some Green Day songs (DLC).
But if there is room for them, it would be some room to other bands like Simple Plan, MCR and things like that... and people doesn't like it :D
We want some of the latest hits and just not a lot of oldies...

True, true... They should just release International Superhits for DLC and THAT'S IT. Let Green Day fans go from there. If HMX is mostly basing their song selection on popularity votes, then I don't think Green Day is getting too many. I mean, I like Green Day, I just don't think a lot of their songs would be good for RB. Just WtP, Minority, and a few others I can't think of right now. But again, as DLC.

Green Day's too easy for the main disc, but too fun to pass up to just rock out to.

Dude you suck. Green day would be a perfect add for this game. I can play all there songs on the drums and i know how much fun it would be for this game. And sorry man they aren't going anywhere. They are making a new cd for 2008. So take that.

Yeah, you're right. And to everyone else on this thread: I'm sure HMX will get some Green Day up for DLC eventually. They are a pretty popular band, and are probably "tight" with MTV (anyone have evidence against that? I don't watch MTV), so I'm sure we'll get some of their albums... eventually. No telling how soon.
