Kinda fun, but why the hell am i expected to play , Guitar, Rythm , and any other thing at the same time on train kept a rollin? I beat it 4 stars, but thats ridiculous.On the Rockband version, you play one instrument, not 5. I like it when harmonix made guitar hero, it wasnt as hard, but it was more fun. Anyone else make this realiszation?

In October of 2007 (read: When Guitar Hero III was released), I made this realization.

It does have "Cat Scratch Fever" in it. I'm not going to buy it, but unless my friend buys it I'll have to rent it just to play that song.

I rented it. i got 45 out of 49 achievements on the same day as I rented it and i got two more later in the week, before returning it earlier today.
It was pretty easy I thought... Train Kept A Rollin' was massively overcharted, but I got the Scorehero achievement after about 6 tries.

I rented it. It's "fun" but not "FUN". The Aerosmith songs (+ "Cat Scratch Fever") are the only things that make the game have any "fun factor".
Although, I would suggest playing this game then playing GH3 for a bit. I improved some of my GH3 scores after playing GH: Aerosmith for awhile.
I rented it, it was worth the rental. I beat it on Hard in maybe 3-4 hours (I can't beat RB Expert, I sure as heck won't be able to beat any GH game on Expert :D).
It was decent, but not worth $60 for 41 songs, IMO.
The charting wasn't as bad as I expected (still overcharted, again, IMO), but not as bad as GH3.
I'm not sure Neversoft should go this direction (less charting), to be honest. I mean, it may keep me from buying the game, but HMX is clearly making the more accessible game- the hardcore need a game too. That should be the GH series. Neversoft runs the risk of alienating their fanbase if they simplify it too much.

I bought it two days ago. absolutely amazing. sure it's overcharted, but it's fun as hell. I've come to just not expect realism from activision's charting techniques and just enjoy the challenge. You'd enjoy it a lot more if you'd go back and think "wow, that's a fun riff" rather than "that last note shouldn't have been a chord". I love that HMX has some method to their charting and it definitely does help you get into the music but (maybe this is just me) once I'm in it, I just strum to the rhythm of the song and I kinda just automatically fret whatever I see rather than think about the musical accuracy.
also, easiest GH yet overall. 40/41 songs 5* on expert (damn Joe Perry Guitar Battle....3*)

@Jorm:
I think there should be either a cheat or a difficulty level after Expert that turns on GHIII-esque overcharting. It's really a lot of fun to play outrageously difficult stuff sometimes just for the challenge of it, unless you're a complete HMX fanboy...

I really enjoyed playing "Rag Doll", "She Sells Sanctuary" and "All Day and All of the Night". There's no doubt in my mind that they'd all be more fun to play with my Rock Band group, but I'll take what I can get.

The two that required me to play every song in coop; one for playing every song as the guitarist in coop and one for for being the bassist on every coop song.
