In honor of July 4th the question is who is your favorite president? Let's try not get into a political war here.

I think my favorite president is Woodrow Wilson. I'm a bit a disappointed that Wilson's peace proposition was strip down to be effectively useless.(A weird thing to say but eh, remember I'm still fifteen).

JFK, he was the last great president that actually cared about the US, it's neighbors and its place in the world. Was more concerned about the US as a whole rather than special interests.

My 2 pennies.

JFK: I wasn't alive during his administration, but from what I know about him, he was truly inspiring.

JFK: I am a history major and have studied the 20th century a lot, he sucked, he actually did not care about equal rights and his plan for America bombed, since he disagreed with Congress so bad, they would no support his bills, he also was responsible for re-freezing the Cold War, the creation of the Berlin Wall, and for pissing the USSR off so much and making the US seem so weak, that they were putting nuclear bombs 90 miles offshore of the US, he also was the one who started sending loads of troops (yes, Johnson sent more), to Vietnam to make it so the US actually took over the war (for the French and South Vietnamese) and we all know that story, on top of all that he was a terrible womanizer and the only reason his family was rich was from bootlegging during prohibition, the reason he was in Dallas on that day in 1963 was campaigning to try to get the NOMINATION for re-election because most of America hated him

George Washington, he was the only pres. to actually care about what this country claims it stands for, and if he came alive today and seen what he fought for and the way it is now, he would probably try to start a civil war, this country has became everything that the founding fathers came here to get away from.
Thank you,

I had to do a semester thesis on Franklin D. Roosevelt and gained quite an appreciation for him. He fought against the despair of the Great Depression and the fascism of World War 2 all while fighting his own demons being crippled by Polio.

Having taken a Constitutional Law class, I developed a nearly opposite opinion of FDR, but he was a very strong leader in the face of adversity, to say the least. Perhaps too strong...

I voted for Reagan (in this poll, obviously... only vote I've ever cast in a Presidential election was for Bush in '04, simply because "none of the above" really didn't appeal to me)... was a toss-up between him and Lincoln. Like FDR and the current Bush, Reagan was a man willing to take a stand on his beliefs in the face of adversity... and history regards him relatively well for it. FDR's record was a bit more mixed, and Bush... might as well just flip a coin :)

FDR was the man, actually. The new deal was awesome. I think whoever wins the next election should come up with a "New Deal v2.0". I would say he was the presidentest of presidents, since the guy won the presidency three times.

Plus, think of what his online campaign would be if he were running now: "FDR: FTW".

But FDR won election four times, not three... thankfully he started serving his fourth term before he died, otherwise much of world history may be different.
