Does the RB Mic work with PS3 SingStar?

I guess the title says it all: Do any fellow PS3 owners out there with Rock Band also have SingStar?

I'm trying to find out if I really NEED to get the version with the included microphones or if the Logitech Rock Band/Karaoke Revolution Microphone will work--which means I can just get the game sans microphones.

When I bought my Logitech mic online, it states that it can be used for any game except SingStar. I'm pretty positive only SingStar's mic will work on the game.

I have both and only the singstar mics work with singstar.

I recently picked up the first edition Singstar for PS3 for five dollars used (Loving it btw.) Everyone at Gamestop said it required the SingStar microphones. I have them from Singstar Country on PS2 so I was cool. When I got home I was reading the unstructions and it never said anything about special mics. For giggles I tried my Logitech Mic that I got from Rockband 2 way back in the day ... it worked just fine. Programed for Voice selection just fine and the game ran great with the USB mic.

I know back in the day only the Singstar mics would work for the PS2 versions, but I guess now it doesn't matter.
