$.99 RB DLC songs...

Just a question, but how often do songs go at $.99 on the XBL Marketplace? I was just checking today to buy CrushCrushCrush, which if I remember was $.99 during Christmas week, but it isn't anymore :'[ Which makes me sad, because I have to pay another dollar..but to my dismay there were different $.99 songs, but I don't really like any of them so I didn't bite.

But how often does this happen? Do they just pick like random songs every week and make them $.99, or does it happen to new releases? :0

As a general rule, obscure bands have $.99 songs while more popular bands have $1.99 songs. The other instances where songs cost $.99 are through promotions like the recent one by McDonald's which had Ten Rock Band songs for $.99 a piece. It's over now though, so you'll have to wait until the next promo for more $.99 songs.

There were a batch of songs that got discounted to 99 cents over the summer, but it was a McDonalds promotion that may or may not happen again.

Usually $0.99 songs are promotional releases that remain at that price for a limited time before eventually increasing to $1.99.

crushcrushcrush wasn't 99 cents during the christmas week that AAR and 30STM

it was 99 cents when it first came out and then again in mcdonalds promotion week

Oh, ok. Thanks guys...I get it now.
Does anyone know WHEN the promotion was though? (hope I didn't just miss it) and what songs were included in it? Kinda sad though that I missed CrushCrushCrush for the 2nd time!

Edit: NVM, found it. It was during May...I'm good now :P
Guess I'll just wait and buy Message in a Bottle instead, CrushCrushCrush isn't top priority atm.

This is why I buy all 99 cent songs. It would have to be Silver bad for me to skip it.
