Drum kit poles sink

The locks on my kit aren't doing very much to keep the poles up at the level I want them. They inevitably sink lower and lower as I play them and I have to constantly slide them up and re-lock them.

Has anybody found a way to make the poles fit more snugly?

Duct tape.

Yeah I'd use tape. Or if you don't mind waiting, you could always RMA them.
