Rock Band DLC Statosphere (http://www.dlcstats.com/) - stats for ALL downloadable songs.
Interesting week since there is a free song in the mix. Naturally the free song ranks supreme this week due to, well, it's free-ness and all.. But surprisingly it doesn't set any sort of record for first week stats. It came in at 28,482 which does not beat "Indestructible", "Simple Man", or the first week king "Inside the Fire". Strange, yup.
Unfortunately this site collected it's first set of stats a few weeks after the release of Still Alive so there is no comparing the first week between the two free songs. But we do know Still Alive was maxed out by April 22nd, 3 weeks after it was released.
- Once again, no PS3 stats this week due to Harmonix's inability to keep the web leaderboards in a working state. You can direct your feelings about that towards the Website Support forums over at Rockband.com.
- 1680x1050 Cherry Bomb wallpaper (http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk209/mrstato/cherry_bomb_retro_wallpaper.png), if you want it.

Plus something I seen about "silver" accounts not being able to DL it yet.
Love the stats btw. :D

Interesting also that all 3 $0.99 songs this week just barely outperformed "Inside the Fire"... combined! (32,941 v. 32,886)
Mega-popular >>> "any ol' song at half-price"

Wow...that's really sad that Motley Crue was the lowest of the three pack. Considering that it was the only good song of the 3

Yeah disturbed is a machine! I think they translate very well to rockband style games.

I have to disagree with you there, I really disliked the Motley Crue song. (I'm not a fan of the papa roach song but it gets a lot of radio play so i can see why it was the top dog out of that set) I liked the trapt song but mostly just for the drums.
Thanks again Mr Stato (ps you mispelled Cruefest...looks liek a typo not that I'm pointing any blame because I cannt spell for poop)

Thank you for the Statosphere! I am also shocked that Crüe bombed out in the Crüefest pack. Trapt outsold them by 50%? Really? Trapt?
I don't know if it's new, but I love the Achievement Whore Approved indicator. I would nominate Tame for this honor as well. I suck at vocals, but I FC Gold Starred this song (and Debaser) my very first time singing.

Juke Box Hero just joined the elite 100k club. Took a while but it finally got there.

Disturbed still rules all...even free songs. That in itself...is INDESTRUCTIBLE.

Oops, it's actually not a typo. It's something to do with me having marked Crue as Crüe. I guess the HTML doesn't like the ü. Nice catch!

Yes this new status definitely needs a nice icon to go with it! AND A WALLPAPER!!!!!!!! Well, one of those two things any ways. I can't give Tame or Debaser that status because ya know they actually have words and stuff. :(

Sweet website. It's interesting to see how my DLC list stacks up to the Xbox community's. I can't say I'm surprised that Doolittle is doing so poorly... I listened to samples at the music store, and the whole album sounded like it was just trying its hardest to be as abraisive as possible.

This was a soft week for DLC scores. 235,768 new scores posted, throw out the ~28K for the free song, and you've got the worst week since the MTV2 pack.
Even at $.99 a song, people weren't biting. I thought the Cruefest pack would do better, honestly.
As always, thanks for updating the site, MrStato.

Or, more people are like me and just saved their points for this week and the next week. I think both of those will be great weeks for the charts.
Very sweet site! Fascinating numbers!
I noticed that some earlier titles available as DLC have more downloads becasue they've been available longer and because there weren't as many choices for DLC in the early days. Now, folks are getting pickier. Which makes Disturbed's success all the better :D
Nice job, and many thanks!

Should switch the name from Cherrybombed to Pixied or Mothered lol, can any songs do worse than the Pixies and Motherhips, i think cherrybomb has sold more.Go figure.
As a crue fan im not suprised it didnt sell as well as planned, it doesnt have that distinct Crue sound to it like most their songs.

I think Promised Land underperformed because the movie it's promoting isn't even out yet.
If The Rocker turns out to be a big hit, I'd expect the track to gain momentum pretty soon.

Did Juke Box Hero finally hit 100000?

not bashing disturbed, but sorry, it was released at a different time and only a dollar.
These songs are released NOW, and there are TONS of awesome songs being released, leaving people with less money for these songs.
Not defending the pack though, I didn't even like it. Especially vague and unoriginal papa radio roach

I'm not understanding how releasing Disturbed "THEN" (which was a month ago) would somehow artificially inflate the numbers?
Also, I think people go a little nuts over the ".99 cent" price. If you compare the HMX pack on the PS3 to the other PS3 sales.. it's not very impressive.
The dollar price is nice, but I don't think it would change sales from 8000 - 11000 to 23000 to 32000 (first week sales of Cruefest versus Disturbed).
Also- let's hope for the sake of the Cruefest bands that the sales at the actual concerts are better eh? lol

Good point. For once, there may not be be a big drop off in the second week, because the track will be available for the first time to Silver members.
I am curious to see how the new version of Working Man does next week.

Partial first day numbers for big 3 new songs are looking quite strong.
Using DLCstats on metric on how many people have scores on guitar on the leaderboard, here's how it looks at 10:20pm ET:
Tell Me Baby: 6355
Snow: 4359
Closer to the Heart: 3998
It'll be interesting to track it on a daily basis and see what the day-over-day sales are, just out of pure curiosity.
I can't say I will do it each day but if others are similiarly interested and want to jot it down in this thread then we can see where it stands by next Tue.

Wow im surprised the Cruefest pack didnt do that well, maybe its due to the fact the pack was filled with new unknown songs rather than the classics from each band.If Dr.Feelgood or Kickstart my heart was in that pack you'd have seen BIG numbers.
As for The Pixies album it comes as no suprised that it bombed worse than any other albums released so far and its sitting at cherrybomb status, and it deserves to stay there in my opinion.

Well silver users on the 360 download it a week late, so this coming week you will see a huge jump I think. Prolly 70K downloads or more!

I'm pretty sure Snow is lower because many people can't beat it. xD

I DL'd the Crue Pack because I just bought the Crue CD and its pretty good I think, plus SOA was an amazing RB song. And over 4k people have passed Snow on guitar? Wtf?!! I suck.... I should also play all of my DLC so these stats arent skewed... I always play quickplay and not Solo Tour.
Also, thats probably the best song Trapt has put out that I can remember, I love it

This comment doesn't relate to this week's DLC, sorry.
Anyways, I find it interesting that of the three Disturbed songs, the one that my friends and I feel is the weakest is the one with the most downloads. Just my opinion, I know, but I was not expecting the numbers to be this way.

I don't think it's that much. I'm sure there are quite a few people who passed it on hard or lower to get their score on the leaderboard. I'm top 325 currently on the xbox leaderboards and I barely passed it after a number of tries so I can't see there being 4000+ people passing it yet.

I bought it because, at the time, I bought everything, but it grew on me. I spent two whole days playing it.
But in my current state of mind, I would probably pass on it since it didn't immediately interest me.

Playing on Quickplay still adds your score to the leaderboards.

No it doesn't, scores only post to the leaderboard through solo tour mode.
Edit- I was mistaken, touche! I didn't think about the bass scores. So I guess any scores can be posted. Carry on :p

07-09-2008, 02:37 PM
You mean on lead guitar?
I wouldn't have though to play lead guitar on quickplay...but of course that's the only way to log a bass score, so I would have thought any score logged on quickplay would go to the leaderboards, drums, vocals, or otherwise.

If that's true, then nobody's bass scores would ever post. I've had some higher scores on Quickplay vocals than I've had on the Solo Tour and the higher Quickplay scores have posted.

Guess no-one has been keeping track of the new DLC, huh?
As of now (again lead guitar logged scores)
Snow (Hey Oh): 16,703
Tell Me Baby: 20,466
Closer to the heart: 8,741
Nice performance by RHCP songs, but not so hot for Rush in relation to how big a band they are. Limelight is up to 57k but that took 7 moths.

I agree that the Rush numbers are odd, but until last week, the only Rush songs were covers and when they finally put out masters they weren't their best songs. If they dropped a master of Spirit of Radio their numbers would be off the charts.
P.S. I'm not at all hating on Rush, they are one of my favorite bands and a I'm very glad they are getting some masters on RB.
