This article doesn't say much, but it does confirm that the PS3 and Wii versions of RB2 will both be out this year, still no confirmation on Europe.

They said "a couple of weeks", but who knows what that means. I'm still betting on the PS3 release date being sometime in November.

No official timeframe was given, but the PS3, PS2 and Wii releases will hit sometime after the Xbox 360 release, but before the end of 2008.
This does not say a couple of weeks. Sean even backpeddled on that statement in the original thread about the delay.

For this statement to remain true they simply have to release it by 12/31/08.

Doubt it. IF they could release them all before GHWT they'd have just released ALL of them before GHWT and there wouldn't be this time release.

Also, Microsoft paid for a time exclusive. He says "we'd be surprised at how little we have to wait." It doesn't say a couple or even a few weeks, IT IS A TIME EXCLUSIVE WITH MICROSOFT AFTERALL.

The person expecting it to come out on Dec 31, 2008 would be surprised that he didn't have to wait if it came out on Dec 30, 2008. It is a time exclusive AND will be AT LEAST a month or two. I'd put money they're expecting on a late Nov release but will end up with a delay to early to mid December.

Unfortunately, we all know Amazon dates are very unreliable.

It would be good business for RB2 to come out before or at least at the same time as GHWT. But, the timed exclusive thing has me concerned. Why would MS pay for a two or three week window? It seems a bit on the short side. For example, they paid for the timed EU exclusive and PS3 owners in the EU still don't have a confirmed date.

I'm no longer going to stress over it though. I've made up my mind to get both games. So, either way I'll be playing something new in October.

360 version out in september to build up the hype, give everyone a lot of hands on time. Then you'll see the other versions releases coinciding closely with GH:WT. That's my prediction. My guess would be that the release of the remaining consoles will closely tie with the ending of the warranty for the RB1 instruments.
