Who else thinks it would be a good idea? Covering all of the songs that don't have masters would obviously make this more time-consuming than most album DLCs, but seeing it down the road would kick ass.

If I were in charge, I'd go with:

The Allman Brothers Band - Whipping Post
The Beach Boys - Dance, Dance, Dance
The Beatles - Rain
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues
Cream - White Room
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Green River
The Doors - Break On Through (to the Other Side)
Elvis Presley - Viva Las Vegas
Frank Zappa - Willie the Pimp
Iggy Pop & the Stooges - 1969
Janis Joplin - Ball and Chain
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
The Kingsmen - Louie Louie
The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
Led Zeppelin - Good Times Bad Times
The McCoys - Hang On Sloopy
Pink Floyd - Lucifer Sam
The Rolling Stones - Jumpin' Jack Flash
Troggs - Wild Thing
The Who - Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere
The Yardbirds - Over, Under, Sideways, Down

Feel free to add your own suggestions.

I move that this pack be both official and free to all fourmies.

I don't know about the pricing for everyone else though.

I would pay a surprizing amout for Allman Bros, Cream, CCR, Hendrix, Yardbirds and Zeppelin.

Pink Floyd and the Beatles should get seperate packs though. Just because they have so many distinct eras.

Take out Elvis and it's golden. Kill the King, the king is dead.

That was good. Remove the Beatles and Pink floyd since they deserve their own packs. Whats cool about decade packs, is that you can make lots because there is so much stuff to add.

For Dylan I'd like to see(well, I'll take ANY Dylan but) QUinn the Eskimo, Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues, You ain't going nowhere

Moody Blues- Ride my Seesaw

The Band - Up on Cripple Creek(pretty please)

Excellent list!

I'm glad at the inclusion of Elvis, although I'm not a big fan of him. He revolutionized rock into what it is today. Good song choice though, one of his best.

Personally, I'd add something by The Who during the 60's (What can I say, I'm a huge Who fanatic). I'd suggest "I Can See For Miles" from the 1967 LP "The Who Sell Out".

Anyways, great list as is, especially the inclusion of "Rain" one of my favorite Beatles tunes!

The 60s definately need some love at some point.
All that you named would be perfect.

All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix Experience
Revolution - Beatles
White Room - Cream
All Day and All of the Night - Kinks
The House of the Rising Sun - Animals
Wild Thing - Troggs
Break on Through (To the Other Side) - The Doors

Would all be some really great songs to play, and would be really fun! 1 song from the 1960s is just not enough.

Um... there was already a Who song. "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" - one of their earliest singles.

Break on Through (To the Other Side) - The Doors

Oh, yeah, that's a good song. Added that and 1969 by the Stooges to my first post.

Somehow I don't think lyrics like "I can take about an hour on the tower of power, as long as I get a little golden shower" would make the ESRB happy. Definitely some songs that would be killer to play and totally possible, but I don't think every album would make the cut. But hey, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

But back to the OP, I'd be in for some quality 60's tunes, don't think it should be top priority, (Tool should be the ONLY priority at the moment in my opinion) but I'd buy all the following for a dollar or two (and yes, I know some of the songs/albums I'm adding for some of the bands aren't technically from the 60s, but they still rock):

The Allman Brothers Band - Whipping Post
The Beach Boys - Most anything
The Beatles - Not a huge fan of their earliest stuff, but I'd take Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road, Revolver, and Rubber Soul DLC albums!
Cream - White Room
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Any and all Creedence!
The Doors - Any and all!
Frank Zappa - Willie the Pimp
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower for sure, but will take anything else!
The Kingsmen - Louie Louie
The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
Led Zeppelin - Every Single ****ing Song!
The McCoys - Hang On Sloopy
Pink Floyd - Yes please.
Troggs - Wild Thing
Animals - The House of the Rising Sun

But no to Elvis and Dylan, drawling/mumbling is not singing. Yeah yeah yeah.. they were foundations of rock and so forth and such.. timeless blah blah blah.. they still suck. Although I'd pay money to party with Vegas-days Elvis!

It desperately needs some Hendrix. All Along the Watchtower is probably the best for all instruments.

I would do anything for a Highway 61 themed DLC pack. Though I would take any Dylan. He did own the 60's after all.

Ah, yeah, good idea.

I also changed the CCR song to Green River, since Fortunate Son was recently confirmed for DLC

The Sonics, maybe The Seeds' "Pushin too Hard". I am a big Elvis fan but I'd rather have DK's version of Viva. If they were going to do 60's Elvis the best way to go would be to do the entire sit down performance of the '68 Comeback Special as DLC.

I think HMX should give a discount on DLC for anybody who buys Rock Band on the 20th and logs into PSN or XBL to get DLC. That would really rock because more people will be buying it and it makes us early adopter feel really good about been the first ones to get Rock Band..!!!!
