I'm wondering if anybody is having freezing problems with FreFox v3.0 using these forums? I try the forums in Safari or IE6, and I have no problems. I'm on Windows XP...

The issues I'm having:
1) Freezing during typing, letters missing as I type, letters repeating many times as I type.
2) Using the mouse on the scroll bar freezes the scroll bars, and
3) I know this is going to sound weird, but the sound when you plug or unplug a USB key in sounds off when I'm scrolling through pages, or even as I'm typing this...

I'm not sure if there is a forum for website problems, but I thought I'd ask.

It only happens on these forums, and with FireFox...

Thanks in advance.

I have problems with other websites but not this one. So, I'm having the opposite issue.

Nope, I have firefox 3 and havn't had any of those problems. In fact I've had less problems in general with every site since updating.

Also, this belongs over in the site issues forum... which is where it shall forever remain.

Thanks for moving it. I didn't know there was a Website support forum.

I've been hearing about FF3 having issues with a bunch of different websites as well. Unfortunately, I cannot replicate them here (and most of us have upgraded since it's much faster than FF2).

I'll pass along the info...

Well, I recently upgraded to FireFox 3 as well, and didn't notice any problems on websites (forums in particular) until I hit RockBand last night for the first time in months. I'm running on XP SP2 or 3, have you tried any other vBulletin-based forums (probably the problem)? This is the only one I'm ever on that's vBulletin-based.

I'd say a fix for numero uno is that you just should know what you're typing and if you screw up, make sure you're exceptionally precise in your backspacing, as to not lose time while replying to posts. Really no other way to remedy this, as far as I can see.

I think the OP issues might be caused by Flash. Firefox and flash don't seem to like each other. The flash animation at the top of the forum will eat a lot of cpu (on old systems at least). I know I have to scroll down to a point where I don't see it in order for "Quick Links" to expand.

Im having a problem where I cant browse the forums while logged into my account while using Firefox 3. whenever I click "Log In", it will log me in but I wont be in the forums. then, when I click on the forums tab, I wont be logged in. any suggestions?

Right now Im using IE7, which is almost the same.

I am unsure why this is happening to you as most everyone here uses FF3 as well.

Have you updated to the latest version? Are you running any add-ons that might interfere with this?

Firefox should auto-update (click on help > Check For Updates). If not, you can always go to www.firefox.com and download it from there.
