Personally I wish one or two these made it:

Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the Dead
Deftones - My own Summer
Disturbed/Genesis - Land of confusion
Take Five - Dave Brubeck Quartet (Everyone likes that song lol, it would really be drums only though, unless they introduce a trumpet peripheral..)
Dream theater - Overture 1928
Paradise City - G 'n' R
Holy Diver - Killswitch Engage (or the Dio one i guess, not as fun to play)

..Anything by Tool.

Feel free to post some of your own.

I always think it's a shame to not see any 311 or Tool in these games. They don't strike me as the prima donna types that would make acquiring rights that hard (I know Tool has always been pretty cool with licensing songs for indoor drum show arrangements), but oh well.

Secretly I'd love to see some Umphrey's McGee on there too--Plunger would be a badass song for RB or GH.

I really wish that Layla by Eric Clapton (or one of the bands he is/was in) had made it. But hopefully it'll be DLC.

Derek and the Dominos is what band you're trying to think of.

And on Clapton. I was really hoping for White Room by Cream. That would of made me a happy panda. Hopefully DLC?

EDIT:^^^^Holy cow, you like blue october as well?! I'd like to see them in RB, but can't think of a good song to go in... I was thinking maybe Angel, but I wasn't sure.

Metallica: enter sandman... oh, wait...

No, but seriously,

Linkin park, bleed it out... seriously... I love that song... and since WT already has what I've done, what a great song from their most recent CD to combat it.
