Which Game Should I Get

Guitar Hero III releases tomorrow and I'm really been tempted to buy it, problem is if I do buy GHIII I won't be able to get Rock Band until christmas or early next year. What do you guys think, should go ahead and get GHIII or wait for RB instead.

Obviously, you're going to get biased opinions because this is, indeed, the rock band forums, but seriously.

I'm only getting GH 3 to last me til Rock Band (I've got the money now, and nothing else to spend it on, so.. yeah)

You're better off getting an accurate answer from a bias gaming site like QJ or something. As for which game, If you want to relive Jordan with a less bit of notes, get GH3 because some how, they managed to make you play parts that aren't even there or sometimes make you not play a part that is there.

Best bet is to go with Rock Band, or you could be smart and go with whatever has the best set list (FOR YOU). Just my opinion though.

Aw, don't say ruined. It's not THAT bad. I mean starting from scratch I'd say GH3 is pretty damn impressive, they just need help on their note charts a bit. They have all those "hardcore" punk ass kids in there making them where as to HMX had people that actually knew what was going on during the song and gave you a more guitar "playing" feeling. When I play GH3 it Just feels like I'm mashing buttons randomly. They need to fix the Ho/Po and the game will be fine. Then maybe get rid of some of those stupid ass 3 chord notes because they over did it with those.

HMX made GH as a tribute to rock and guitar. Now that Activision has boss battles against the famous guitarists, isn't that disrespectful if you beat them? Now it's all about money and not the game.

On a (late) serious and unbiased note get Rock Band. I'm not saying don't get GHIII but get Rock Band first.

I must admit I mean I played some Half Life 2, it was good, I never realised just how good it was. I've barely played Team Fortress 2 (don't kill me Orange Box fans! I'm coming to it eventually) but I'm playing the HL2 series in order and Portal is just... awesome. I mean I'm not finished but some of it is bloody awesome like when you first jump out of a hole then having to do another portal to get your speed up just... awesome. "speedy goes in speedy goes out" :P

Yeah forget GH3 just buy Orange Box. Never seen value for money so much... and its £25 on PC if you wanna go real cheap.
