Exclusive rights to Bands

Does HMX have any rights to bands? Like GH wouldn't be able to use them. And also are the HMX bands exclusive?

Well, there is a Freezepop song on the Nintendo DS version of GH, so I'd venture to say "no" on all accounts.

There would be some sort of announcement or press release is someone went exclusive. So far, the only band that is exclusive to one game is Aerosmith.

It's usually not in a band/label's interest to sign exclusive deals, especially when the competitors are likely to be fairly close. Most artists don't stay exclusive to iTunes even though it is by far the market leader, for example. They'll also release on other downloadable music services, to maximise distribution. It's not in their interest to go exclusive unless there is so much money involved that it'll turn their head.
