Just want to say thank you so much HMX for such a great feature. My daughter alwasy wants to play an instrument and doesn't full know how to yet (she is 4). Now she will be able to feel that she is rocking out with dad without having to worry about failing after 30 seconds. This feature is going to be a huge hit with families.

Agreed! We took Rock Band with us when my family converged from multiple states for a vacation, and a No Fail mode would have been perfect. Most of them don't play games and my Mom had a stroke years ago...so there's no way she could sing the vocals on pitch and in time perfectly. But she wanted to participate, so that would have made it perfect. Now she'll be able to do that easily next time. It's just a little addition, but a great one, too.

Rock Band is such a big party game that No Fail mode gives everyone a chance to try it out, regardless of skill level. I do like the idea.

No Fail Mode means.... more fun at parties! Great news! I'm 16, any kids playing with me would be... wrong on several levels.

Indeed. Glad to see that having fun will still rule the day in Rock Band, instead of devolving into the GH focus on cutthroat, competition-focused gimmicks.

I also welcome this addition. I've gotten my daughter (5 years old today!) to sing along, but she can't read so she can't sing, but now she can sing along while dad practices his drums.. great addition.

I do think there should be some drawback on this mode though, like mabe no scoring or something.

This was a great option that was added. Constantly failing songs is really a buzzkill at parties. This lets those tonedef and uncoordinated people STILL feel like rock stars.

Now I wonder how many 1 stars we will start seeing. :)

This is way better than the "beginner difficulty" in That Other Game, IMO.

I can't wait to hear the backlash from people who fail on Beginner...

I'm in the exact same situation with my 3-year-old girl. Instead of us all flailing for overdrive phases to try and keep her in the game, we will all be able to just rock out and have fun.

No Fail Mode is great because now you can turn the vocal track down all the way and sing how you like without having the fear of failing out by not matching the pitch. :D

It's a great thing for singing too. I've always had problems singing. I can sing pretty well in real life, but Rock Band doesn't recognize this. That and I sound like a little girl singing into the mic. Can't wait to sing/and complete O: my favorite songs. On expert vocals :D

same boat. soon to be 4 year old daughter who wants to play, but is too uncoordinated..........at least more so then her old man..............

be nice to let her bang at the drums instead of her pulling out her frikkin stupid Hannah Montana guitar to play along.

let me tell you, "Afterlife" is not a cool song being played over "Best of Both Worlds", and yes, from personal experience.

Yes I know of this too. My daughter pulled out the drums lastnight and played that along with one of her baby piano toys. She wqas trying her hardest to jam both. Then she said she had to stop because she was Rocking to hard.

Was it confirmed if you can set each individual instrument to this seperately , or was it an all or nothing kind of thing?

Like , can I have Guitar and Drums on Normal play , but set Vocals to non-fail mode?

I am opposed to this feature. I enjoy watching people fail, suffer, and agonize through every set. Their tears are like champaign. Muahahaha!

(for the sarcasm deprived, this was completely a joke :p)

Definitely a great concept, especially when I'm trying to learn a song for one-man band purposes, and as brobot says, families will love it.

Dare I say that this will be even more appreciated than removing the Fan Caps would be?

Friends: Most definitely yes. I love seeing them fail out on songs and then being blasted for doing so HAHAHAHA:p

Kids: Not so much

Seriously. Can we have an AUTO-Fail mode, please?

my daughter loves to play but litterally runs and hides behind the couch when her icon flashes red so this will be a godsend for me. I actually started playing online so she can see the notes and "play along" but not fail...unfortunately most people I play with are on hard and expert so that is a whole lot for a almost 4 year old to comprehend as far as quantity. thx HMX for this little feature that will help families rock together.

I agree 100%! My daughter always wants to sing (6)...but cant read fast enough to keep up and would rather "improvise". ;)

A No-Fail is a must for parties.

When I first brought Rock Band to my family to play, my Mom thought that all you have to do is sing, which proved to have problems when advancing to a higher difficulty then Easy. With No-Fail, all she has to do is sing to the song and there's no way to lose! Everyone has fun, and there's no competition.

I love this feature as well. Will be great for my son, and also for when I have some friends over who have trouble with Easy at times.

I am glad to see so many Rockband players that are in my shoes that have children and family that want to play but may be scared to, helped by this feature.

No fail mode = FTW.

Rock Band parties will be awesome now with this feature plus the 'start button to continue' feature so that the yahoos on guitar that are 'tuning' them before the song starts won't back everyone out to the main menu.

Thank you very much HMX. Great job on all of this.

Funny you mention that song. Did you know that your carpet can sing that song perfectly?

Honest, grab your microphone, put that song on expert vocals and rub your microphone around on your carpet every time you are supposed to sing. Awesome, eh?

Completely agreed. This new mode will very much entice new folks to try out the game at parties (especially on Vocals, which seems to be the scariest of all)

That combined with the Start button lockout deal will make our Rock Band parties a lot more fun, Seriously, my drunk buddies love to flail on the every button they can find, and somehow are able to boot us straight back to the Xbox Dashboard.

For players that are locked out during menu selection, I hope their instruments will make sounds when they are pushing on the buttons. That will be silly and very satisfying.

Not to mention very realistic, as the rhythm guitarist and drummer are always messing around at every band practice I've been to ;)

No fail mode=now win mode for my family.

Sometimes the siblings and the old man come over to play. They suck, i play the whole time just trying to get enough OD to keep em all alive.

I agree with pretty much everything that's been said. I have 4 cousins that always come over to my house a couple times a week. Their ages are 8, 5, 5, and 4 years old. The one who's 8 can do guitar/vocals on easy, but the others can't play well at all. This will let them play without feeling left out now. GREAT ADDITION! Also, my parents like to play too and they're pretty old.

I can picture all the Guitar Hero fanboys now, "WTF a no fail mode?! RB2 is just WAY to easy!"
