Effects Box Pops Up On Screen All The Time

My guitar is annoying the heck out of me. Other than the fact that the upstrum seems to want to kill my streaks sometimes, the main annoyance is a constant showing up the effects box. I'll be playing a song, and the box will pop up without moving the effects switch. Then the highlight in the box jumps around from effect to effect. Mind you, I still haven't touched the effects switch. It usually seems like movement of the guitar causes it, sometimes when I raise it for star power. It happens constantly and consistently throughout the song. Any suggestions?

The switch is broken. Best bet is to RMA the controller. Worse case, you could open it up and try to find the loose fiddly bit, or just unplug the switch.
