I am in many bands online and local and I get time with every instrument but above all I get guitarist and voclist.

We all know the great debate but it's obvious:

Bass will be fun for me because they haven't had bass in career mode in the GH series. It will be cool to play a song that actually counts in a career. Plus the bass is the foundation of songs even though it's usually not as complicated as lead guitar.

I'm going to play drums for the most part... My girlfriend will most likely either play guitar or bass. I'm sure we'll switch it up.

Aye, its nice to have that 6x multiplier too, eh? Makes your score seem even more awesome. Its the foundation of songs because its not as compicated as lead guitar, it isnt meant to be, its part of the rythmn section and is a key part for the band to build off. For example, The White Stripes do not have a bassist, and because of this, they end up having to make up for it.
Rubbish bassists (or no bassists) make rubbish bands IMO.

I'm a real drummer, yet I don't have much interest in playing the drums in Rock Band. I'll play guitar, my son will play drums, my daughter will sing, and once in a while, I'll maybe even drag the Xplorer out and I'll get my wife to play bass.

Well, when it's mostly my wife and I, I'll be playing drums, she'll be on bass.

When we have the full band in home, she'll still be on bass, I'll be doing either guitar or singing.
