Harmonix knows its core fanbase does not like this music. Its core fanbase are people devoted to music and gaming. This creates a fanbase of decent intelligence. Someone who knows music, and cares about it would not like Fall Out Boy.

They are just trying for the "idiot" audience. But the idiots don't care what they play. They're shallow.

Well I like Fall Out Boy however I would have preffered a classic rock band like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, AC/DC, or even a more recent band like Green Day, Audioslave or Sublime than Fall Out Boy being in the game. At the very least though I would have prefered a better Fall Out Boy song like This Aint Scene It's An Arms Race, or Thanks Fr Th Mmrs.

I don't usually condemn people for liking different music. I dislike many genres, but I respect them. I have the ability to recognize if something is bad.

You're going too far with the head up ass stuff. You've mentioned it before. Do you have an unhealthy obsession with peoples head being up their asses? Oh, and clever little inclusion of (too much) their.

I don't have a favorite band, but I like many bands, and they have actual talent. Usually classic rock, with a few modern alternative bands here & there.

When I compare Dead on Arrival to Welcome Home, it sounds brilliant; when I compare it to Celebrity Skin, it sounds like thousands of angelic voices singing in unison. Also, to the annoying guy with the car avatar, you have a serious attitude problem. Idiots listen to bad music? Director Uwe Boll said in an interview that he listens to classical music as he writes his screenplays. Does that mean he's smart, as much as his other actions say otherwise? Uwe Boll is a genius, and one of the greatest directors of his time.

I think I said it in another topic. Idiots just happen to like terrible music. I've seen a very smart person on the internet who listened to Fall Out Boy. But usually, it's the idiots that listen to crappy music.

I downloaded the song and threw it in my ipod, got the lyrics and started listening (I do this with all rock band songs to prep!). Having listened to it only twice, it's really not that bad, kinda catchy too (can't believe I'm admitting that!).

This is from a guy that prefers Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Tool and old school Korn, Metallica :)

I am curious about something, in a few threads where people mention Fall Out Boy I keep hearing people talk about Dance, Dance and never see them mention Dead on Arrival.

Last I knew, Dead on Arrival was the announced song and not Dance, Dance ( I would -much- rather have it be Dance, Dance!). Can someone shed some light on this for me? Why do I hear things like 'Fall out sucks but I wouldn't mind playing the bass line to Dance, Dance' or 'Dance, Dance will be good'.
